What is the quickest, legit way to get a Fleet Carrier?

The way that players constantly ask for the quickest way for this and that, FD should just adjust the game so everything is instantly available.

It's as if the path to obtaining a goal has lost all its meaning.

Used to be if you owned one of the original Big Threes you had accomplished something, particularly the Cutter and the Corvette due to rank lock. Now these can be obtained so readily they have lost most of the glamor and sense of achievement they once possessed.

Don't mind me, I'm a curmudgeon, let me sit in the dark, rocking my chair.
I should clarify; I'm not being impatient or wanting things instantaneously. I have the PS4 version, and I just bought the PC version. I am curious to see exactly how quick, legitimately, it would be to get a FC. If it's as quick as a lot of people are saying, then yes, there's a problem.

And thank you everyone for your input, I appreciate your time. I think I'm going to unlock the Cutter and engineer the power plant like some of you suggested. That sounds like the quickest way, along with keeping things moving with the prospector limpets, etc.

OK, but once you have a Cutter you'll find that delivery missions from an extraction system make money faster than mining.

It's taking me longer to get to Colonia, than it would apparently take to get an FC. Although, I am taking the long way around.

Isn't there a system with those missions you can also grind Fed rank in? I forgot the name though.

Honestly having just done a similar "run" get something with some jump range and a big fuel scoop.
Just tried to sell painite and the nearest to me with a decent sell was nearly 400Ly away (20 jumps in a Python). Yes I did make 170 million credits but the 20 minutes of jumping and fuel scooping gets tedious.
Get a Conda, D rate what you can (thrusters, sensors, life support), A rate power plant and distributor and stick on all the jump range you can. Put a big fuel scoop on, couple of big cargo racks (for around 200-300 tonnes) and away you go. I could have halved the time it takes to go back and forth if I had used that.
Only downside is you can only land on large pads.
