What pedals are you using?

That might not work too well. Assuming you want to use each Toe Brake for a lateral thrust, you'll have to keep each in the center of the axis, partially pressed down.

I'm using Universal Joystick Remapper to combine the two Toe Brakes into a single axis, which I use for the forward/reverse thrust. The other axes I have on my throttle mini-joystick.

Fair point.

I don't know why I was thinking I needed all 3 lateral axis on the pedals - just remembered I have forward and backwards on the throttle already.*facepalm

Would up/down on the toe brakes and left/right on the rudder work?
*I have yaw on the stick already and I am happy with that.

Can you tell that the thrusting is analogue rather than digital?

I use Saitek Pro Pedals with my Warthog HOTAS. I've used a few different makes of rudder pedals over the last 18 years, mostly for WWII Combat Sims (Air Warrior at first, then Aces High). I've always used HOTAS controllers, and rudder pedals complement them nicely. :)

Thanks everyone, I find it so useful to gauge feedback from people actually using hardware before I make a choice.

I have a Logitech G940 setup that has the pedals as part of the package. Since I have never tried any other pedals I can only say I like them.

Once I got used to using pedals that is. You have no idea how close I came to going with ANY other setup that DID NOT have pedals for yaw.

But it finally clicked,,,,, and now,,,,, well,,,, I can't see myself ever using anything but pedals for yaw.

I'm using a very old set of Thrustmaster Elite rudder pedals - seems appropriate :)
.
I will be building a set of aluminium based pedals soon on my CNC machine at some stage to replace them - will post vids when I get around to it.

I use the saitek pro-flight pedals for thrusters. Lateral on left and right, toe breaks for up and down. Yaw is fine on the twist axis of the stick.

You can do that with Universal Joystick Remapper. The main issue is, each Toe Brake is one axis. You need to combine them using UJR into a single axis across both toe brakes to map to a single thrust axis.
