Does remind me soooo much of GTA Vice City...and not to forget the time spent in dancehalls to these kind of songs.
It's always so odd to see the audiences back in the 50's, listening to music that goes directly from your ear to your feet and just sitting still like statues.

I think people where still victims to the culture of the time. Expression was taboo to some extent back then.
Its also possible that the TV network hosting the show had audience rules regarding this.
