What we REALLY LIKE about what we've seen!

I feel like it's time for a bit of positive feedback about the gameplay we've seen, balance out some of this criticism.

1. The power grid system. Wasn't expecting it at all and its a nice management addition.
2. CURVED. FENCES.
3. Fences conform to terrain changes. My days in zoo tycoon 2 made me dread this not being a feature.
4. The graphics obviously.
5. Jeff goldblum, and by extension the voice acting and storytelling present.
6. Thick forests. The brush in JPOG made it seem like trees were being placed in a grid. I'm happy the tree brush makes forests nice and thick and irregular.
7. The genome editing feature.
8. The excitement coming from the developers in the gameplay footage.
9. Sending rangers out to repair things instead of just clicking on it and saying repair.

Graphics
Goldblum
There been an actual story
disease management, this I really like alot
For
Individual behaviour is great
Genome editing, like this alot too
Disasters seem like they snowball. I sae if one Dino gets loose, the others get agitated too which is awesome
some unexpected dinosaurs
If 40 plus 5 deluxe is accurate then that's a good number (especially if rumours there's a FK patch coming shortly after with more,)

Unfortunately way more negatives than positives. Lack of cosmetics, attractions and park customisation is appalling. It's standard stuff for a park management sim and yet isn't included. Can't even build your own monorail.

The game needs another 6 months of development.

I think this is a good idea.

I love:
-The graphics

-Jeff Goldblum

-The story

-Driving around in a jeep

-The building animation when you place down a building

-UI aesthetics

-THE DINOSAURS

-Depth of dinosaur creation

And basically the entirety of the environmental and building aesthetics.

Graphics (this means very much to me)
Jeff Goldum and the fact there might be a story!

The rest is jpog with exactly what you’d expect from a sequel. This is both perfect and unremarkable at the same time. If theres any consolation to this however, given they’ve copied jpog so closely I’d like to say it’s almost certain they’ve copied all the things we haven’t seen that are causing concern, ie sandbox mode with day night cycles etc. I think site b was an unlock in jpog?

I so hope you're right. It will be my favourite game of all time.

Also, a story has been confirmed by the lead writer on the game. He even mentioned that there would be a big omage to the OG JP. Every island is set in different time periods, with the later ones occuring at roughly the same time period as the events in Fallen Kindom. Bestinslot believes that Isla Nublar will be set in 1993, which if true....my lord.

- Jeff, uh Goldblum
- Voice acting in general. I love how they interact with each other.
- Graphics
- Dinosaurs and Dino creation
- Building/management (driving with the Jeep, flying the chopper etc.)
- Island map view
- Story(?)

My impression so far is 8 out of 10 Goldblums, but there is still room for more. I can easily see this becoming my GOTY 2018.

Surprised people are so easily satisfied. I'd give it 6/10. Maybe even 5.

There's definitely a possibility that it turns out to be just that. But I'm keeping my hopes up and so far I like what I'm seeing, despite some minor details that I don't like. Either way, I should mention it's definitely closer to a 7 than it is to a 9 for me at this point ;)

1 curved fences (all who played JPOG remember the straight fences)
2 Dino Customization
3 Great Graphics
4 Jeep and helicopter driving
5 Jeff Goldblum!
6 great storyline gameplay
7 more realistic repair mechanics
8 dino physics look great!
9 tech trees make you really go your own path in the game
10 5 playable islands! with diffrent tasks and suprises ;)

As much as I appreciate being able to take control of helicopters and jeeps, I really want some kind of "first person" mode, even if it's just represented by a camera drone or something. I want to feel like I can go for a stroll in the park.

Please re read the title of the thread.

I just like how great it is overall. The only platform I've ever had to build dino parks is Zoo Tycoon 2, and compared to that game, this is incredible. I'm so excited to have a more up to date, much nicer platform to build my dinosaur parks in! I love the look of the dinosaurs and the wide selection of dinos to choose from. I love the graphics, and the fact that you can't just pick up your dinos and put them back in the exhibit if they escape (unlike ZT2).

- Dinosaur!
- Graphic
- Character from Jurassic Park/World
- Can do some action from Helicopter/Jeep by my own hand.
- No Night time. Management in the dark is nightmare in my opinion.

Graphics. The game looks amazing.

Dinosaur models look great.

Goldblum as Ian Malcom.

The Island we got to see looks good.

The water looks pretty good as well.

The ACU helicopter and Jeep thing look amazing and will most likely be a lot of fun. Having to dart the animals, when that dart with the pink feathers comes out of the gun, man that was cool. lol

I wouldn't say people are satisfied. A lot people in this thread have voiced concerns about the game. But we should spend our time dumping on it. We should also post what we like about it as well. Being positive about the good aspects of the game doesn't mean we are ok with the flaws we have pointed out.

Also you were wrong about there just being 30 Dinosaurs. So you should really stop and take a break. The gameplay was from a demo version. Maybe Frontier will show us something from the finished game before it launches.

If you are unhappy that doesn't mean everyone else has to be.
