What's the New Feature in Winter 2025?

I assume the new feature will consist of unfulfilled fantasies and self-inflicted disappointment sprinkled with a healthy amount of salt and a few open letters.
😂

Seriously: Why do you do this? Frontier haven't said a single word about the new feature, and until they do, all you do is build up false expectations. It's like... we've never EVER done this before.
💯

I’d love to see the ability to invest and build businesses in the game - hiring NPCs to transport cargo to our construction sites and facilities, or NPCs to guard systems and improve security levels, for example. This would be a great expansion for the Trailblazers update because, right now, colonization is just about painting the galaxy map. It’d be awesome if there were some economic benefits tied to yet another endless progression path

You need X4

O7

Nah, I need Elite Dangerous – but if it ever gets X4's economy, I’d delete every other game. No point keeping them ;)

There shouldn't be full automation, but the grind for colonization is too harsh and repetitive. It needs NPC support options and alternative ways to complete resource delivery.

Elite: SimCity
While cool, wouldn't they get very old, very quickly, like ship interiors would?

Custom designed facilities would make each colony unique. Such as design a small base to live in that feels like your creation, rather than a cookie cutter facility. It could work like Planet Coaster.

I'd love to see more features from the previous Elite games brought into Elite Dangerous...mainly some of the missions. Specifically some of the missions, like the bombing runs through canyons and photographing secret bases while taking huge incoming fire before you turn and leg it. I'd also like to see the return of the mining module you drop on a planet and leave for a few days while it does it's thing.

Yeah we also need more mission types.

Fortunately after the primary port is completed there is no time pressure from anything other than ourselves to add the other things we want to a colony which means we only need to haul when we want to. So yes automation isn’t really required.

If base building ever got added this could be good.

Disagree there should be more ways to do stuff that don’t require us to take orders.

Elite: SimCity
Honestly... something like this is probably needed before we can get Atmospheric planets, because high population worlds in the bubble definitely shouldn't follow the same sparseness of settlements that other worlds do.
features from the previous Elite games
Brain worm whispering anout the entire flight system getting recoded, based around g-forces instead of m/s?
I hope it's swords!

This game desperately needs swords!
Ninja swords to go along with new stealth suit and sneaky mechanics?
My guess is some kind of BGS 2.0
As much as I want it to be interiors... this is my guess also. Hopefully easier to understand, maybe have population numbers as NPCs emigrate around. Also passenger missions affecting the number?
A Master Limpet!
Size 5 Customizable Multi-Limpet controller where you get to pick 4-5 types of limpets? Custom is probably what multi should have been in the first place.

Water. Lakes and oceans, submerged cities/outposts, only accessible via the 3 Saud Kruger ships, and the yet to be seen 4th, the medium Narwhal.
