What's This "X"?

Scanned a system, but when i look at the map a bunch of the planets are connected to an "X" and not a star;

what does this signify?

It's usually a sign of the two primary stars being quite close together. If the two stars are too far apart, then Stellar Forge cannot generate planets that far away.

The barycentre is also indicated in the system's nomenclature. If you look at a more "normal" binary system, you'll see all the planets are labelled after the star they orbit. Suppose the system name is "Freddie", then planets orbiting the primary star will be named Freddie A1, Freddie A2, etcetera, and planets orbiting the secondary star will be Freddie B1, Freddie B2, etcetera. But in your system, that single planet orbiting the primary star will be "Freddie A1", but the other planets "orbiting the X" will be named something like "Freddie AB1, Freddie AB2, etcetera. Indicating the planets are orbiting both stars A and B.
