I disagree that it's federation... it's too curvy, so far the fighter and cruiser have been very angular with slab or sheet like features. So imho its got to be alliance or independent.

You may be right there, at first glance on this phone screen, it just looked like it was a bi of a battered looking federation ship. But hey perhaps most of the independent ships are just retrofitted and reconditioned?

I'd be tempted to call it a krait, unless someone knows better.

Bood Eagle

If (like many here started to say) it resembles an eagle, I say it's a blood eagle, since it's got no wings.

Blood Eagle is first something I read in Slaine, 2000AD, although it's actually a historical reference to a terrible form of torture. The kind of torture the pilot can administer on their opponents? Cool name for a ship. Even if it's a Krait

Still stumped. If its not an eagle, well then I'm just going to guess that its an entirely new ship. Some sort of Freighter as was mentioned before. Perhaps a complete redesign of one of the FFE freighters like the Tiger trader or Tiercel Freighter?

Who knows? :S

Ashley seeing as you appear to be back from holiday perhaps you could give some feedback.

We now agree that ship in the original post is some kind of freighter, is it just a concept artwork or is it likely to feature in the game? If it is in the game, is it player flyable? Which if any faction does it belong to? Is it something from any of the previous games?

Can you also confirm that the ship in the kickstarter is a Krait? Will it be flyable?

Please, Please, PLEASE answer some of these questions if you can. I promise I won't slap Commander Barley with a wet fish next time you visit the Thargoid and Fer de Lance

Makes you wonder what else Frontier have hidden in those banners.
