u all are alot of complainers.... they are putting alot of work into this most of the them working from home.. having to deal with home things while working not to mention that game development is a long cycle and game developers deserve our gratitude for making the games we like.... this is an ALPHA people not one of those early access rubbish that suckers buy into this is a PROPER alpha Not ready for mainstream consumption. So don't get ur nickers in a knot when things don't go exactly like you except them to. if there is problem stop to consider that maybe ur the problem...... Lets remember cyberpunk 2077 and the fact that it ended up being a bad game becausse people bitched and moaned about it taking to long.
Your reasonable logic and general understanding that they want to make a good game have no place here.

You know, maybe other devs, but not FDev. They are a strange bunch, and we mostly tolerate their decisions. And cyberpunk failed not because people "moaned about waiting so long". It failed because of poor management.

No, normally, software tester is a job paid ~3000 GBP a month. YOU chose to pay THEM to test for them.
You don't hire a community of software testers to stress test your servers when you have a community that is "willing" to pay to test it.

Unless, of course, Frontier busted down your front door, held a shotgun to your head, and forced you to cough up. You knew EXACTLY what you were paying for and why you were paying for it, and you chose to read it or ignore it.

My guess is that most of the whine comes from people who haven't even read the first post on this forum!

And that is why game code quality and game balance nowadays grows more and more "featureful". Let the sheeple test it (and also profit from it) and find bugs/exploits, then hear their whines when things get nerfed due to "longevity of the game" issues.

If they paid real testers the game would have far less balancing, stability, performance and functionality issues.

I purchased through steam so I can also choose to take a refund 2 hours into release if it's still not worth it.

REFUNDS ON DOWNLOADABLE CONTENT

(STEAM STORE CONTENT USABLE WITHIN ANOTHER GAME OR SOFTWARE APPLICATION, "DLC")

DLC purchased from the Steam store is refundable within fourteen days of purchase, and if the underlying title has been played for less than two hours since the DLC was purchased, so long as the DLC has not been consumed, modified or transferred. Please note that in some cases, Steam will be unable to give refunds for some third party DLC (for example, if the DLC irreversibly levels up a game character). These exceptions will be clearly marked as nonrefundable on the Store page prior to purchase.

REFUNDS ON PRE-PURCHASED TITLES

When you pre-purchase a title on Steam (and have paid for the title in advance), you can request a refund at any time prior to release of that title. The standard 14-day/two-hour refund period also applies, starting on the game’s release date.

Right of withdrawal

As a Steam user domiciled in a European Union member country, you have the right to withdraw from any purchase on Steam without giving any reason.

For any digital content purchased online, you have agreed upon checkout that the withdrawal period will expire 14 days after you purchase such digital content or when you start downloading the content for the first time, whichever is sooner. For hardware, the withdrawal period will expire after 14 days from the day on which you acquire, or a third party other than the carrier and indicated by you acquires, physical possession of the goods.

To exercise the right of withdrawal, you must inform Valve Corporation of your decision to withdraw from the purchase by an unequivocal statement (e.g. by a letter sent to Valve Corporation, 10400 NE 4th St., Bellevue, WA 98004, United States). You may attach the model withdrawal form available below, but it is not mandatory.

The easiest way to exercise your right of withdrawal is by using the support form on our website at http://help.steampowered.com. If you do so, we will communicate to you an acknowledgement of receipt of such a withdrawal on a durable medium (e.g. by e-mail) without delay.

To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning your exercise of the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired.

also Briton if thats where u live is no longer subject to euro law if i recall. ALSO this isn't considered a pre purchased title it falls under DLC

Who says they don't employ testers? Hey, if you want to get in on the action see the link below.

Their current open position is localization QA only. They are not interested in fixing long-term bugs and balancing problems.
