All the asteroids in the galaxy seem to be approximately the same size. Every asteroid I've mined gets depleted in about 30 seconds with a D2 mining laser!!! Are there no asteroids in the galaxy that you can get a 100 tons of metal from? From my perspective, if an asteroid doesn't yield enough product to fill my cargo hold (no matter what kind of ship I'm in) it isn't worth mining, not when trading or bounty hunting with the same ship would be so much more productive.
Where can I find an asteroid worth mining? (10 mile wide 40% gold, silver, palladium)

Check out the miners reddit there's a list of good systems and such. Some people have reported making less than 200K an hour where others have hit 2 mil or more.
There's an Elite of luck and a bit of hard work but no reason you cannot make good money.
