Where have all the Chained Missions gone?

This is not a new problem, but one I had hoped would be fixed when 3.0 went live. Sadly, that isn't the case :(. When we first got chain missions in 2.3, I was getting them quite regularly, even without the aid of an inbox message to tell me one had triggered.

However, ever since 2.4, I am finding it nearly impossible to get a chained mission to trigger. No matter how many Courier, Scan or Black Box Salvage Missions I do, I never hear that "Mission Critical Message" sound! The only mission that ever seems to spawn chained missions are Donations......but even that is horribly rare.

So I am curious, is anybody else having the same experience, or is it literally just me? Can anyone from the Mission Development team enlighten me as to what might be wrong? Thanks in advance.

I've had quite a few missions reveal themselves to be chained ones - Assassination, Black Box Salvage, Courier, Delivery Missions. I have not done a ton of missions, either, maybe 15 - 20 and of those I'd say I got about 4 or 5 chained ones. This was out of Jameson Memorial, where apart from "Los Chupacabras"(or whatever they're called) I was allied with every faction. Well, now I am allied with them, too.
 
Ended up with several chained missions just doing data delivery while also doing wing cargo transports. We were at Jataya and then Eurybia.
 
I'm still getting lots triggered from Donation, Data Delivery and Kill Pirate Lord missions. Perhaps a little less than in 2.4 but still plenty.

maybe its because board is spamming with wing missions and there is only small place to generate them?

Unlikely, as these issues began during 2.4. Just in the last week, I have lost count of the Scan, Salvage & Courier Missions I have done.....in the dozens......& not a single trigger. Like I said, even donations are extremely hit & miss.
 
I've only seen them kick off from donation missions.
To be honest, I don't really mind either. Until the chains are made a little more cohesive and interesting, I'm not going to bother with them.
As they stand now, they're just another random mission on the board.
 
Someone else has already mentioned the mission types that typically spawn follow ons.... Donation, data delivery and pirate lord assassinations. There may be others in missions types that I don't do, but these seem to regularly spawn follow ons.
 
I had a chained mission pop from a mining mission actually (RIP Mining missions o7). I think it was Bromellite I mined and after I complete the mission I got a follow up saying they'd extracted some semiconductors or something and could I take them along to another station in the same system.

Ah yes - I got a bunch of those, too, which I forgot to mention in my previous post.
 
They may have been nerfed just in case someone discovered an exploit with them. What next to disappear ? Biowaste hauling ?
