Where’s the NPC’s flying Python Mk II??

That’s the expected thing, right? I suggest that FD start generating some NPC’s that fly around in P2’s. They should be all over the place, flying different loadouts including RES sites, conflict zones, piracy targets (oops I meant to say trade ships), and bad hombres as targets for assassination mission targets.

NPCs don't earn Arx... (as far as I know, but they can buy nice PJs, so maybe...)
Maybe we'll see it in game come August, when everyone and their dog (in Odyssey, at least) might own one for weekdays and 2 for weekends...
They also don't have access to the Rescue Rangers, which allow Pilot Federation Pilots to survive incredible situations.
NPC's only fly Vipers, DBX, ICouriers and Anacondas. 🙄
And every once in a blue moon a Clean FDL. 🤬
Really? I've been attacked by NPC Kraits, Asps, Kealbacks, Cobras, etc the lot. I do wonder if the algorythm sends ships your way that it thinks you can handle and as you go up combat ranks, you get different ships attacking.

I mostly bounty hunt at CNB's and HighRez sites. I'm Elite combat but I always seem to get those ships I listed, 98% of the time, and they are lame. Yes, the occasional Phantom or Clipper pops in but that's it. What I did notice is slight variations in NPC spawns depending on my weapons load-out, but still not enough for me. I want Cutters, Corvettes and Type10's not these piddlywink small ships.

Aha, that's why. It seems there are certain ship types used in certain scenarios. If you want more variety, then you've got to try different combat zones. I.e. Look for a system with a war between a federal and Imperial faction, find a High Combat zone and they'll be Cutters, Clippers and Corvettes Galore. If you lucky you'll even get Capital Ships Jumping in (remember to wear your brown flight suit if that's never happened to you before).

Yeah, but I bounty hunt. I don't like the restrictions and chaos of combat zones. I want to drop into a CNB and come face to face with these two:

One of the funniest times in game was in a CZ recently between Fed & Imp factions, and the Feds were flying Cutters & Clippers (and the usual annoying small ships, including Couriers!) and the odd Fed brick. Very odd!

Not in my experience.

In the High RES I am currently bounty hunting I have seen everything except Cutter, Corvette, T10, Beluga, Orca, Dolphin, Python Mk2 and the 3 Alliance ships. I have even seen a clean Cobra IV!

Exactly my point, and before I'm suggested to go play PvP, I tried that and most often what starts out as PvP quickly turns into PvPPPP.
So I stick to only playing against people in my racing sims. I have a private family group for Elite which is really fun but in a different way.

Well alliance ships are in.... Alliance space.. Perhaps go there...

Cutters and corvettes are only in military related places. Easy to find in convoys from either feds and Imps in war states. Passenger ships do passenger stuffs. So find those in passenger places.

From what I've seen in RES-s, pirates there fly:
Sideys
Eagles
iEagles
Adders
Viper III-s
Viper IV-s
Cobra III-s
Cobra IV-s
Couriers
DBS-s
DBX-s
Asp Scouts
AspX-s
Federal Brickships (really popular mediums for them!)
FDL-s (seem to be more common in haz RES-s)
Clippers (really popular large pirate ships!)
Anacondas

CNB-s add to the mix:
Alliance C-ships
Krait MKII-s
Krait Phantoms
Mambas

"Massacre X facton deserters" missions also offer:
T6-s
Keelbacks
T7-s
T10-s
Corvettes
Cutters
But only if you pull mission ships from SC. Mission signal sources are bugged IME, anyway. Bonus: these mission targets are considered cargo ships, so drop mechanical and conductive engineering materials which the normal pirate ships don't.

As for the topic at hand, pirate PII-s at haz RES-s, CNB-s and as mission targets would be cool.

Probably just forgot to add them to the spawn lists. The Type-10 suffered similarly, though they were eventually added to some specific situations at least. No reason why NPCs should be subject to out-of-game availability restrictions, I don't think they paid for Horizons either.

They do seem to change RES spawns on a whim. There was a time when I saw 3 conda wings and conda + 2 T10 wings in RES. Multi-condas are rare now and I haven't seen a T10 in ages.
