which mode

Which is the mode if I want to just build my own zoo with all the management included. The tutorial is great but I find it hard to navigate around the very detailed pre built zoos. Id find it easier to learn by building a small zoo with just 2 or 3 animal types and get the basics before expanding.

You might want to try playing around in Sandbox Mode a bit? It has unlimited cash and everything unlocked, so you won't be struggling for cash or animals. The Planet Zoo help files (the question mark in your menu) can help you with the basics of building a small zoo as well

I kinda want a sandbox mode but to also manage cash and everything that goes with it. Maybe like on Planet coaster where new rides get unlocked gradually so your eased in gently. Is there such a mode?

Try the offline franchise mode, or challenge mode is it called?

You can play at your own pace and don't have to worry about animals being sold for extremely high prices or anything by other players.

You'll still get the same experience as the online franchise version, with all the research and starting slow and steady and such.
