No, Star Citizen... DOOM isn't in VR! (Although I do have DOOM 3 BFG in VR!)Doom?![]()
You probably lost the statement after Odyssey launch where they said that they have no further plans for vr at the moment.Well, to be fair, they haven't said it won't happen and until they do, I'd hold off on the doom.
It would seem sensible to hold off on it until the performance and other issues are sorted. Then we might know a bit more on which way they will go.
Also, Odyssey is like a different game with different mechanics so it was always going to be problematic regards VR. like you alluded to with other games.

I'm along with you for the journey, friendI am the eternal optimist of the forum though...just me, mostly.
Just don't forget to pack your spare undies, I suspect the journey will be long and arduous.I'm along with you for the journey, friend![]()
Ha ha ha ha ha ha.I do, and I don't think I'm alone in that; however, I think the figure will be skewed downwards as I know a lot of VR players, such as the bestestest ever AX pilot - Katy Byrne who is now a Star Citizen content creator, have left Elite since Odyssey's launch.
Great!Katy Byrne who is now a Star Citizen content creator, have left Elite since Odyssey's launch.
I'm almost afraid to say this but it would have been better if FDev had removed VR support entirely, until they could implement it consistently throughout ALL of the game.
Well to be fair, the PS4 reached the end of its life as a platform on the 19th of November 2020 when it was supplanted by the PS5, so I think it highly likely that the state of PS4 VR will remain on the negative side of "no immeidate plans" and or "nothing to announce at this time". Meanwhile back at the ranch y'all's lumbered with the grey burqa assaulting your vestibular system every time the player moves their head and the "cinematic virtual flat screen" remains still meaning the eyes and inner ear disagree on whiskey tango foxtrot is happening.Well, to be fair, they haven't said it won't happen and until they do, I'd hold off on the doom.

"at the moment" that's entirely different form "not at launch""at the moment"...
Things may change, or not.
Until they say "not happening" then i'll hold on to a little hope and wait and see.

It's probably best for ppl to think it won't happen anyway, then they can only be pleasantly surprised if they can make it work.
Yup people are leaving a multi-player game, who cares? It's not as if it's survival depends on a decent player base for it's continued development. I mean I'm sure Fdev is going to keep it running until the last player leaves...Great!
More importantly who cares?
So there's going to be a PS5 version now?Well to be fair, the PS4 reached the end of its life as a platform on the 19th of November 2020 when it was supplanted by the PS5, so I think it highly likely that the state of PS4 VR will remain on the negative side of "no immeidate plans" and or "nothing to announce at this time". Launch was half a year ago now, and both Horizons and Odd were marketed as VR supporting games.VR: Not at launch.
