Why are player interdictions so impossible to evade?

I think internet speed plays a big part as well for some of us.. i got pulled out last night by a Krait (Tenedore) and the next thing i see is this krait point blank in front of me shooting his plazma guns right at me not moving??.. I had time to launch my fighter as my shields went down but then he swooped up in front of me after my fighter started attacking and he was completely gone... no fsd wake or nothing? he was not in the contact list.. nothing?? don't understand what happend?

Maybe he was one of those cheaters.

Same here,, I'm not an expert at the game by any means but would him shooting the plazma acc at me put him into an over heat situation and then the fighter and my ship put him into a situation of immanent death so he pulls the power plug on his xbox?? making him disappear from the game?? is this what happened.. i mean his ship never exploded just disappeared??

Sounds like it.

Strange i thought their was like a 30 sec buffer so you couldn't do that kinda thing built into the system?? Anyways wonder if he respond in a prison system back in SOL.. because i wasn't wanted...lol Becasue i never seen him again last night.. he usually hangs around Jaq Station causing havock.. like ramming you in the mail slot or just as you go toland your ship??

When in super cruise if you fly directly out of the gravity we'll you will always out accelerate the pursuer who is deeper in the well.
Sure - but if the pursuer is already in range with their FSI they can engage it regardless.

I'm surprised no one mentioned how you can put the star behind you when you first get into system and park outside the "red zone" of said star. The attacker will be unable to get behind you and start an interdiction.
This works great against NPCs but humans with engineered FSI's can interdict from a very large angle. You also need time to get yourself into that position during which you've got your 6 wide open.

It's worked for me before m8, most go for range over angle from my experience and as Roybe said no one can have one for range and the other for angle at the same time anymore.
Plus your six may be open but you just warped in so unless you got really unlucky, you can approach star and flip before they get you.

I have about a 90%ish success rate at evading NPC interdictions. I have been interdicted by three players that I can recall, and all of those were failures, despite me being close to perfect.
Kind of severely disheartening that even if am perfect I'll still lose an interdiction, only to be instakilled the moment I try to run away, whether or not I submit.
Honestly, I might just stick to solo play exclusively just on that fact alone.

CMDR Curiosity97,

May I wholeheartedly recommend the "Mobius PvE" player group:

I too suffered two annoying human player interdictions in Open which I was unable to avoid and my unarmed, unengineered and empty cargo holded Cobra Mk III was eliminated in moment. I was so annoyed that I immediately switched to Solo. But then I discovered the Mobius PvE Private Group.

You fill in a very basic application form and submit an in-game request and you will be invited to join the community (they have separate US and Eurasian groups). It's a community of players that agrees and promises to play the game vs the environment only and to not aggressively interact with other human CMDRs. Even though the group is large, it is extremely rare to encounter another commander (popular system like Shinrata, Deciat etc. more likely) but when you do it is a very cordial affair - no fear of aggression. Even though it's very rare to see another CMDR, I still feel more community minded and it has a positive psychological impact on me when joining a group like that rather than playing in solo.

Consider it wholeheartedly recommended.

Feel free to drop me a PM with any questions or difficulties you have joining up.

Good luck CMDR!

This will not help.

Not likely.

The interdictor usually has a modest advantage, both due to networking and the their tendency to use ships well suited for the task. Most habitual agressors are also very practiced in the tunnel game and even if you think you were doing well, chances are they were better.

Personally, I find fighting interdictions, especially when my CMDR is not particularly prepared for a fight, to be excessively risky. I'll take a near guaranteed escape in normal space due to a short cooldown over a low-probability of success gambit to escape in SC as if it fails the much longer cooldown is much more dangerous. So, I almost always have my CMDR submit.

There are people far more practiced in interdiction than I who will be able to give you advice for fighting the interdiction better, if that is the approach you'd prefer.

I feel like the main problem here is lack of modules to counter interdiction I see no reason why there should not be something you can attach to a ship to make resisting interdiction easier. for example during the tunnel game the module will allow the evading player to rotate the ship much faster than normal or the module slows down how fast the escape vector can move something that doesn't eliminate the risk but will significantly help out a new play if they are willing to sacrifice a utility mount to fit the countermeasure device

interdictions its the only reason i play SOLO!!!

Vs NPC...i allways won
Vs C07...i allways Lose

so, if we dont get one single shot...you bether dont even try to play PVP!

its not fair!

Last time i enter the PVE, no more than 5 minutes and i got interdicted...and kill! so, why bother???

im a explorer my self some times trader...i dont need the PVP for nothing!

I joined Mobius you can interact with people while avoiding the gankers. The NPCs are quite easy to beat.

If your ship can’t survive the 30 seconds or so it takes to submit/jump to another system, playing in solo isn’t a bad idea.

Either that, or adjust your build accordingly. Engineers are not required for open play survival, but they most definitely help.

If you have any questions about escaping or building a sturdier ship, please, don’t hesitate to ask.
OR join a non pvp private group... like say... Mobius..

I don't blame anybody for wanting to avoid the gankers. I think interdictions by other players should be removed from the game the NPCs are annoying enough.

Ill restate my previous position interdiction is a valid game mechanic but there need to be modules to help counter it If a new player wants to avoid interdiction completely and is willing to fill all of his utility points with countermeasures he should be able to make the tunnel game pretty much a stand still
