Horizons Why does it take 15 minutes to bring up the map of the galaxy?

Seriously. I'm just sitting here, again. Waiting. Is this a feature?

Try lowering the GalMap detail level..it was annoying me as well..only time it lags now is if I change it to display Powerplay regions.
Options> Graphics >Quality.. use the mouse to click the + and scroll down

Mine used to take a mere 3 seconds till I modified the graphics to 5k textures and HD nebula, now it's about 10 seconds... It's highly related to your system specs and quality settings so thats the first place to look before blaming the game.

Check that and if it's still an issue throw a bug report with a dxdiag in.

Edit: Could also be network but I think its mainly graphics and cpu

Well, takes less than 10 secs on my system, slightly longer on my Xbox, sounds client side.
