I play solo mode but i dont see any problem to have instead of solo mode something like PvE open world. There is lots of people play solo or private group mod just for safety anyway, but if you play solo you cant even chat with others so PvE open will be nice instead of solo and private group. It will connect all PVE players. In terms of PvP ?. I dont like it in this game seems like joke to me and boring and what this bring for me is only fact, that someone can gank me while im doing mission with PvE fitted ship. This is not EVE online where PvP is everything (i was playing it 3 years).

Boo hiss!

You can pve in open. So what if you get blown up a couple times. You lose a little bit of fake money, big deal.

Fore some its difficulty to lose, for some even harder to lose to another player?

That is FDev's reason? Interesting... I mean they could have even made merits for PVP actions for power play, yet even then... it was PVE tokens with PVP just as almost sadly an afterthought.

All i can say is after 2 years playing at this game only, and do it almost everything in the game, pvp (not griefing), combat between players is the funniest in the game, i dont know why dont they use this aspect of the game to enhance it.

Possibly because Frontier are aware that not all players get involved in PvP, plus the fact that it is, and has always been, an entirely optional element of the game.

Possibly because any aspects of the game directly affected by PvP would be vulnerable to player collusion, i.e. players receiving rewards for un-contested encounters (that *should* be contested).

Cause and Effect.
So why does it even exist?

Why alow it in the first place?
While this game at large is a multiplayer game and PvE fundamental?
Denying PVP any leverage, implying its uselessness on one hand - what justifies all the hassle about? Money, grief, upsetting a majority of players about it - on the other?

Trying to answer unasked question Robert is annoying [big grin]

Beside; PvP counters nothing but present players.....

Something does not have to be necessary for a causal to exist.

Quite the contrary.

Everything, I think Mouse, causes a Causal to exist. Individually causal beats the casual any time.

No. Frontier is guilty.

Guilty of upkeeping and upholding their SOLE goal in Open.

For people to have fun. And yet some want to change that and to force things certain ways that suit them.

Discuss, as per title.
Why does PvP in OPEN even exist?

Keep it civil!

PvP in Open needs an implementation.
Or does it?

Is PvP already implanted?
Why so?

Where is PvP focus in Open?
If PvP is not, why allow it in the fist place?
Is PvP in Open an abuse?

At last, you can (be) hardly allowed to create a play stile out off of threaten involuntary players?
Or can you?

Are PvP players abused in Elite Dangerous Open mode?
To be, and not to have any right to be there?

Please Discuss

I imagine for some people it's somthing like unprotected sox, the abandon and risk make the game more interesting.
