Why The Devs Shouldn't Combine PC And PZ.

As much as people say how awesome it would be to combine both games, I wouldn't want this. Planet Coaster is cpu heavy as and merging the two games would probably crash the game or give us very little fps. Plus, with Planet Zoo being a separate game, they can go more in depth, and make it the best Zoo game out there. If they merge the two games together we would have less from Planet Zoo than if it was separate and some things that are already in the game wouldn't be possible in Planet Coaster like better water physics, weather, and etc. We don't want a repeat of RCT3 Wild which I thought would be awesome to have both zoo and theme park together, but turned out to be crappy and only ended up using the rides for the game. The zoo aspect of it was crap and ended up getting ZT2 which I absolutely played the crap out of it. We want a better ZT2 and not a repeat of RCT3 Wild. Hopefully now people will understand why we don't want to integrate the two games together. It'll literally ruin the game even though it sounds nice.

I don't want them to combine the games per se, I just want to see us being able to use the assets (at least the rides) from PC in PZ. Planet Zoo will have a superior engine compared to PC and will most likely have solved a lot of the issues PC currently suffers from, that's why I'd like us to be able to use PC assets in PZ. It would still keep them as separate games, just with the ability to use rides in PZ if you also own PC.

I will await the game first before coming to this conclusion. I hope so at least.

I see no reason why they can't "upgrade" PC later with the same improvements like the better water effects or weather. If it works in Planet Zoo, it should also work also in PlanCo, because both games use the same characters for the guests, the same building style (PxP), the same shops and toilets as in Planco ... and maybe the can build something, that the two games can play seperate or together with a kind of bridge.

We've already seen some evidence of this based off of screen shots - the path tool is improved for sure, which is a huge one for many people.
I'm confused. How can you tell from still photos that the path tool has been improved?

Well i want it combined, because i want realizm and Frontier to make lots and lots of money.
I wonder why some are talking about DLC.
Personally i never expected it to be just that, but a full paid component. (updated machine for example which can't be sold cheap)
The funny thing is some videos talking about the Planet Zoo are comparing the looks to Theme parks. Not to Planet Coaster, but real parks. (Alton Towers, Drayton Manor)
So i guess there is a bigger wish for combining.

You are spot on Evolution, eventually it would be nice to combine both games but I don't want that until both games and comparable in terms of features. As much as I enjoy building and customisation, the management aspect in my main attraction and currently Planet Coaster lacks this.

You can see in some screen shots how the path integrates with the ground in ways that's not possible in PC
OK - so its more the functionality of the path...like maybe better hit boxes, less collision or something like that...but the tool itself and how paths are placed/created is still out for judgement as we haven't seen how that works yet or if that works any differently.

My point is that we've seen differences already between the two games, and it would be nice to be able to use PC assets with the new engine of PZ. That's all.

Also, they have already confirmed that they're using a newer version of the Cobra engine in Planet Zoo compared to Planet Coaster. Which we'd have to assume is a superior version of the engine, and not a lesser version.

I'll still wait and see.

Looking at the screenshots, I more had the idea I was looking at Planco. And I don't see anything magical when it comes to paths.
I still hope so, but to me it looks the same as Planco.

So, tell me what is different between below picture and Planco.

The one thing I do notice is that the terrain has grass sprites by default, which is cool.

It's one screen that shows an elevated path from the side interacting with the ground in a way that's not possible in PC. It's not shown in the screen you posted above.

Edit: check out some of the analysis videos on youtube, if I remember correctly it was Geekism that covered that specifically.
