Why we still cannot hold cargo in stored ships?

My carrier is a she.

Originally it was to stop stockpiling commodities for mass selling and BGS manipulation. Now we have carriers, that's less relevant because we can absolutely do that now although there is a buffer with transporting goods to the station. So now I'm guessing it's just a case of "you've got carriers, that'll do it - too low priority to add the ability to store commodities on ships... get a carrier if you want to store them".

There might be more to it than that.

I do not want to buy an overprice fleet carrier, also useless.

Storing cargo in a ship is very simple and basic mechanics
