Windows 10 version Kickstarter

It is not an easy task to just 'update' the D3D component of a game engine, DirectX is heavily intergrated into the engine so takes alot of time and work. I am sure over time though they will upgrade their engine to support it, regarding the game supporting it is a different matter.

DX12 is a major step forward and one of the first DX api's to support multi core computers.

A frame rate that is unbearable would be anything under 10fps. If it's hitting 15fps hey, at least it's hitting double digits. And 60fps is double digits too At least with 15fps it's not a frozen screen you're running into. Think of it as this game is so awesome, that hardware is struggling to keep up with all the fun ;)

That is me haha and 4 if I do alt f9 to record :) Me, myself and I have promised all three of us a pre xmas pc to stop my fps moaning sessions :)

If you read their Terms Of Use, they specify if you live outside the US, your countries laws apply. If you live in Australia or New Zealand like me, our governments have strict laws regarding privacy and billing. And since Microsoft has offices over here, they automatically fall under the jurisdiction over here. It's like if I visit America, American laws apply. The country you live in your laws apply. Microsoft does have a way you can delete that data, especially from key strokes, but what's to say that that data isn't copied and stored how many times on who knows where. Although Microsoft is a reputable company, anything could happen to that data. Microsoft also has got a lot of complaints about Windows 10 privacy and how prone it is. I've turned off key strokes in settings. The New Zealand Privacy Comissioner is also aware of this. Companies are not government, so your countries law should have the jurisdiction power to override any clauses which conflict with your countries laws. And it's something which NZ and Australia do, especially when it comes to consumer rights (especially in Australia). In America, the Xbox One Elite Controller gets only 90 day warranty. In UK/Australia/NZ, it gets a 12 month warranty, due to consumer rights legislation these countries have, and Microsoft can't say no to that. Microsoft is not above the law.

My last laptop I had, had Windows 7. Upgraded it for free to Windows 8 during that intro period, hated Windows 8. It locked out half the settings to the AMD HD6650 or something I had. So I reverted back to Windows 7. My current laptop and custom desktop, have Windows 10. I also have the latest full paid version of AVG Internet Security on both, so that provides additional layer of security. AVG is better without a doubt, at Internet Security, than Windows 10, as AVG has a higher detection rate. Windows 10 only has like a 92% detection, and with the state of the internet infrastructure, that is not a good enough detection rate.... and Microsoft only updates the OS once every month, where as AVG updates their database every day. My desktop/laptop has an AVG license for unlimited devices, so can install on more than just one PC, and even on my Samsung Galaxy S8 phone which though has the like the latest Android Nougat version which is automatically updatable. I use to be with Norton but several years back, my PC got infected. A computer technician recommended me AVG which detected and moved the threats which Norton didn't, and have been with AVG ever since. AVG isn't really expensive either. Roughly NZ$80 per year.

If Frontier did a Directx12 version, they could probably do an Xbox One X, version of it too, since Xbox One runs a custom version of Windows 10 and has Directx12 support. Xbox One X is the worlds most powerful console (12GB GDDR5 @ 326GB/s, and specs which beat the PS4 Pro). But at this stage with what consumers already own, there isn't really a lot of support for it yet.

Windows 10's protection + common sense is all you need for security.

The XBOX can definitely run Planet Coaster, but PCs control scheme just wouldn't work on a controller without dumbing it down completely.

USB keyboards still work with Xbox One. Microsoft does have a mini chat pad for Xbox One. I don't think any game devs use this equipment for games on the console.

I don't really want to solely rely on Windows 10 as it only has like a 92% detection and Microsoft doesn't update their software every day, like what AVG with the higher detection rate, does. But it's down to everyone's preference. My AVG Internet Security software will also alert me too, if Windows 10 secretly decides to send usage data to Microsoft hehe, cause the software analyses the behavior of everything going on, on my computers, in real time, with a data base updated daily, and using heuristics technology. It feels like AVG has had Heuristics technology longer than Norton. Especially with the wana cry and new variants.

As for the game as it is with Directx11, my custom PC is handling it well. I can play on 1080p maxed settings full screen with 6k people and 22 rides, on 24-40fps. I suppose someone out there is gonna say that, is not a playable frame rate :D I have tried 11k people and I get 10.4fps. I've tried some community maps one of them with 6k guests 15 rides but heavily detailed scenery, and it dips to like 10-15fps. Just avoid putting TOO MUCH in your park.

True, but don't console manufactures require the game to be working with a controller?

Also 24-40 fps is definitely playable in my book, especially for a game like Planet Coaster. Maybe you would get better fps if you didn't have AVG running in the background. ;) [haha][haha]
