Windows 7 support

Cynical is my nature. But it still does, and it's not the only OS to do so. Google's been under fire recently for storing metadata from students using Chromebooks... So don't buy that either.

Apple also steals your information with ios and osx so it's better to install windows 3.11 and leave the internet!

The thing is, though, people are used to these practices. That doesn't make them bad in some circumstances, but it's going farther and farther. How can you be against NSA listening in on phone calls, but be for operating systems developers doing the same thing?

Google has done storing relevant advertisement data for years, mainly because what I do on the internet will never be private, but now it's entering operating systems. Some people won't have a problem with this, I'd just turn it off, but that's one step farther than a few years ago. And in the terms and services Microsoft says they have the right to use and disclose any information they take in, Google as well.

With Apple, I do not know what information they are gathering, and that's a problem. If I'm going to be transparent you be transparent with me. Don't hide all these features under hidden places, enable them by default, and at least let me know these things are enabled.

But I don't buy Iphones because data-issues, but because my Galaxy provides a better service. [yesnod]

edit: Here's an example of what I was mentioning above. Sending voice data is fine, if it let's me know. Then it's enabled by default, and hidden in the options menu. Next, face recognition data is being shared, but is optional. Then that is enabled and hidden. Then, in the end, we have Britain in our pockets. It may not hurt me now, and that's where the issues of "is it right?" come in. Will this affect me in the future? Will people larger than me attempt to control me?

I will not be controlled. Even indirectly. For that reason, here are some good things about Windows 10:
  • It's easy to use.
  • It's clean.
  • Lot of software support.
  • Better than previous Windows versions.
  • More touchscreen support.
  • Easier UI APIs.
  • Workspaces (finally) added. [tongue]
  • More control than previously, for decoration.
  • Security probably updated.
  • Easy to install.
  • Free (most are these days, but still a positive).
  • Faster than before.
  • Windows services are built into the desktop, like Skype.
  • Xbox Live if you're into that.
  • Better snapping of windows.
  • Great 4k support.
  • Drivers are good. Updating system is easy.

I'm not going to believe it doesn't have positives. It'd be usable for me if I didn't dislike Microsoft.
Now if only I could have my wobbly windows! [mad]
