Love all the updates, keep up the good work!

Out on exploration far from populated space, so havn't tried out all the new stuff yet. But currently a key to continue on planned route is my favourite thing, along with jump count. :p

Really like the more realistic heat management and indication too.

Asp boost is sounding horrible at the moment. It's sounding like high pitch propeller. I was in the other room while my son played elite. All I could hear to the other room was that annoying asp boost sound. It's really loud cause that was all I could hear. My son also asked what's wrong with the sound. I hope you are going to fix it like it was before.

It would be interesting to know reasons behind fuel change. Not that I was fan of mechanic - it felt a bit artificial at times - still would be interesting to know :)

I completely agree. The Asp audio is now horrific and needs to be reverted to the pre-1.2 clips. It's REALLY irritating when boosting through full speed because the 'propeller' rasp kicks as as well as the (quality reduced) boost sound.
How did this get through testing ... ?!

Downloaded before the thread was up!

Gosh, fixed the 'pause' thing.

It seems so trivial a thing to have a problem with I have been reluctant to mention it too much. :)

Who said FD doesn't take any notice of what the player base says?

Many different sounds cards out there. What sounds great on some systems, doesn't always sound so good on others.

Probably worth dumping your specs and raising a ticket (along with an audio capture if you can).

Yes ANOTHER update...

This is my first post so be gentle...

And this sounds like a whine, which I guess it is. But this week I have sat down to play three times, and each time there has been a lengthy update. Despite having fast fibre broadband, the update downloads at around 1Mb/second - so this is another gaming evening gone. Could there not be an option NOT to upgrade? Or to upgrade later?

Also how long does support take to respond to a ticket? I reported an issue a month ago and I have had no response at all. Do the support staff look at the tickets? IS there a support staff?

The update question, the short answer is No, and the long answer is Not Likely, the problem is the game is online, we are all interacting on some level with each other some fixes are to close exploits not just gameplay fixes for this reason it's essential we all play from the same version.

As for support tickets, sadly this can be VERY long.

There is already ticket open by someone else regarding the high pitch propeller sound.

How slow can you go?!?!

The update to 1.2 is now downloading at 0.06Mb/S - I mean, seriously?!?!

As this is multiplayer and the additional patches often cover urgent issues and bugs that need to be implemented I would say you are unlikely to ever be able to play without upgrading first.

However you have joined at a time when there just happens to be a lot of updates in quick succession. It isn't always quite like this (and then you will see people complaining that the patches don't come soon enough). There is no option to avoid the upgrade but you could (I guess) wait for a day after a big update and where people are saying they are having issues and then download the lot once?

There are support staff and tickets are answered (or the bug is dealt with) at least I have always had responses or requests to try something specific to mine. I had a ticket for some minor issues that have now been resolved and received an email to tell me so recently.

FD have recently started to take steps to expand and improve their support responses. As to how long your response will be, it probably depends on how many people have raised the same thing and whether it is considered low, medium, high, critical priority I guess.

The Adder sounds like a propeller too, hehe. Would not surprise me if the sound was created from a propeller sound sample and then tweaked a bit :)

Ctrl-Alt-SPACE no longer works: for the debug camera, use the key assignment in "Controls."

Check your Key binds.
Debug Camera will be under Miscellaneous.
You can change the binding to any set of keys you perfer.
If you have "custom" it will defualt to be blank/unbound
