I don't have Anaconda. Doesn't matter what ship I fly this issue occurs every time I bump an asteroid. There was no such a sudden death prior to the last update. Shield depleted in a second then RIP.
Of course, it needs to do some damage but not an insta kill on kitted out ships at moderate speed.
Collide someting face to face and side push are two different things.
As you may noticed (if you take a look at the bug reporting forum) several players reported the same plus NPCs are suffering from the very same issue, mainly miners at speed 20-40 m/s. So how could that happen?
Stations aren't involved in this case, at least I didn't experince that (read my ASP story above), but you can find tons of vids about Conda vs letterbox problem, that is something you also cannot explain with momentum and inertia.

Gah, my brain read python as anaconda, sorry! The same idea scales though. However, it does sound more like a bug now that you said more about it occurring also at lower speeds, and to lots of people. Having said that, 40 m/s is still 90 miles per hour, and you wouldn't want to crash a car at that speed, let alone a ship :p.

Well, it becomes a problem if you can survive crashing into a station at the same speeds without a problem and barely a scratched shield, yet an asteroid obliterates you.

Maybe the stations shield could be dampening the impact as opposed to hitting a raw asteroid, just a thought or an excuse.

I did once get pretty close to being shot for trespassing, in the Asp. Emergency full astern and backed out just in time - it was late in the evening and I forgot to get docking permission...

Lol, we've all done that at some point or other. I know for sure I've forgotten at least 3 or 4 times over the last year. The first time was when I was still in the sidewinder back in beta, I actually outstayed the 30 seconds as I'd gone too far into the station, too fast to just back out. Realised what I'd done, flipped the ship, ran like hell to get back out of the slot. The timer ran out just as I was about to pass through, the station opened up but by then I was boosting clear. Survived, just.

I think it's one of those rite of passage things, like how horsey people say you're not a real rider until you've fallen off and broken something.

We found a bug with conflicts (war, elections and civil war) not resolving correctly - winners weren't being picked. We deployed a hot fix last night and today's background sim run has provided some winners so this look sto be fixed.

Pemoeri system.
War has started on 26th march, finished by 28th march.
Civil war between Emperors Grace and Pemoeri Order.
The war has ended with EG influence at 35% and Pemoeri Order at 20% and with no effect on the station ownership.

After that we have abandoned our efforts there.

Also, we have been losing influence in Codorain system in a 20% a day rate. It has fallen from 85% to 18% in 4 days, the same way that was reported in the Jotunheim system in this thread:

Conflict Zones have been in Nganji for a week now, each time you visit you cannot pick a side and every ship you scan has 'No Faction' if you shoot one you do not get a bounty and only that ship shoots back. Also if you look in the Right Panel none of the faction are at war, very odd indeed
Any way you guys could look into this ?

Did you make a bug report about this?

has there been any mention of maybe a wing leader being able to initiate a wing jump? being able to easily copy the trailers of the ships jumping at the same time or in quick succession seems like fun.

Its already in place, once you lock a wing member as your leader in the com's menu. Jumping is automatically done one after the other.
