Canadian lynx is cool too but I feel the two would get confused with the casual player.
I know, just saw the opportunity to meme. I would appreciate the bobcat too.Canadian lynx is cool too but I feel the two would get confused with the casual player.
Just saw your trailer breakdown btw. That little notification thoI know, just saw the opportunity to meme. I would appreciate the bobcat too.
For the non-Americans we need the turkey and the North American porcupine. Although I adore the badger inclusion. Underrated.Western Pack, Summer 24

The takin would make more sense than the musk ox, which aren't really mountain animals. I'd also swap out the Japanese serow to avoid a third caprine (three ungulates is one thing but three in one subfamily is quite another) for a habitat bird--you have birds which are common in zoos and fly very high over the Himalayas like the demoiselle crane and bar-headed goose, as well as fowl like pheasants and the Himalayan monal.CHRISTMAS PACK (DECEMBER 2023)

I could settle for Amazon animal pack if I knew we'd get Andean Bear and Mara is some other packs down the lineNot sure what an appropriate name would be that could cover SA dlc.
A caprine? I need more. Double it. Triple it. I need to build more mountain and rocky enclosures, they’re my favourite to build.a caprine
I would pay for it. But I wouldn't be happy about it. Haha. This would be another case where I want the animals in game (exception: musk ox) but I'd be bummed that they were included at the proverbial expense of something else.We had the jokes about an all ungulate pack, would anyone pay for an all bovids/caprines pack?
I would be the first one in line for this.

I'm not sure how but I never even thought about the tree kangaroo for a Highlands pack! But yeah. I'm all in on that as an option, haha. And it's the cuter tree kangaroo, anyway!HIGHLAND ANIMAL PACK

TBH, I don't see any of those animals appearing on the key art. The "headliner" isn't always the most popular animal so much as one that is representative of the general content of the pack and/or looks kinda cute. There's one obvious exception (e.g., Aquatic pack with the penguins when it could have been the seal actually in water) but this is mostly the case, I think. Grasslands with the armadillo was odd but when you consider the rest of the pack? I'm not sure anything else could have made sense (wildebeest and kangaroos are too closely associated with their respective regions, IMHO).Yeah so moving in to the next topic of speculation, what does everyone think the headliner of a highlands pack would be?
It’s harder because it doesn’t have any instantly known animals, although the same could be said for the Oceania Pack. I would think the Wolverine or Pallas Cat honestly, maybe even the Gelada.
Because of the name? Idk man, this also varies from language to language.Canadian lynx is cool too but I feel the two would get confused with the casual player.
I thinks its gonna be one of the mountain goats. Markhor seems like the most likely to me. It seems Frontier chooses the one thats the easiest for a casual to conect with the theme. Like the camel for arid for example.Yeah so moving in to the next topic of speculation, what does everyone think the headliner of a highlands pack would be?

Eh, as a non American when I think "west" in terms of the USA, cactus, saloons, road runners, tumble weeds, and coyotes are my first kind of thoughts. Logically I know it's not all like that, but the imagery association is strong. Frontier makes stuff to appeal to the casual gaming public - wouldn't surprise me to see the coyote in a "Frontier" or "wild west" style packCoyote is better in a Forest Animal Pack.
So for a mountain pack, it seems the most popular choices are the wolverine, a caprine, baboon/gelada, and spectacled bear. I think all of these have a good shot of appearing. But what are some oddballs? I wonder if we could potentially see animals from Montane Rainforests, maybe this is where we will see a tree-kangaroo or even the Guereza pop up? There's also plenty of other oddballs such as marmot, hyrax, and a few habitat birds.

Stuff like the spec bear, palls cat and gelade seem to obscure for the wider public to me.
And while the markhor specificly probably is aswell, its easy to conect a goat to mountains
