But- it should be winter and cold themed lol. We haven’t had a single cold climate animal all year. The December pack doesn't have to be winter/cold themed just because it is Christmas. The southern hemisphere has summer over Christmas![]()

We should have learned this after Grasslands. The December pack doesn't have to be winter/cold themed just because it is Christmas. The southern hemisphere has summer over Christmas![]()
And we did. But last year we already got the twilight pack that gave us a few temperate/cold climate animals, meanwhile this year has been non stop humid animals. It feels needed this time.We should have learned this after Grasslands.
Shires, Percherons, and Suffolk punch would be cool to see. I would by a horse pack lol, but probably not the best for pz.Not gonna lie, this is probably my most wanted pack at the moment. A proper barnyard/domestic pack, with Highland Cattle, African Dwarf Goats, Kunekune Pigs and a horse species. My preference would be a larger horse like a Clydesdale or Gallineer’s Cob, but Planet Zoo would likely do a Shetland Pony instead.
Who said there cant be 2 meme animals for better pack marketability? The more the better for frontier.Sorry but if we get a meme animal in the next pack I am 100% voting for a Pallas Cat.
I'd say Vivarium Pack consisting of 4 habitat species and 8 exhibit species!Okay, here’s a discussion:
What unpopular or unmentioned DLC do you want?
I would probably go with Urban or Petting Zoo.
I've said this before but I really think it could go in any direction at this point. Everyone seemed so certain about a Temperate pack (myself included). And what we got was... Temperate animals from a specific part of the world that most people probably assume live in the tropics (and scenery that reinforces that idea). We know Frontier has been picking off the top 10 of the meta wishlist. And a lot of these animals could fit in a range of themes. For pretty much all of the top 10 I can think of at least 2-3 potential, very viable themes they might fit into.
Some of it probably depends on how many more packs we have left. We may be due for another Conservation/Aquatic-style pack where the animal selection is a grab bag. Something like "Adaptations" or a really broad animal category (e.g., arboreal, herbivores) would be a simple way to work in so many of these in one shot. They've never done it before but... Assuming the game really is winding down? I could see them really stretching categories with the last few DLC.
(Not doom-speaking here, just trying to be realistic based on what we know. I want to be wrong and I'll change my tone the second if/when we have evidence to the contrary! Haha.)
Well initially covid complications took a toll on the initial plan of dlc releases, that's the public reason we know that the delay of any dlc was. For why it takes 3-4 months, well we can only speculate why. Frontier needs to do research on animal models, behaviours even zoo visits to capture animal sounds and study them before they can make each animal. Some animals are easier to make than others because they can be based off an already existing animal or entirely new animal require the entire animal to be built from scratch such as the porcupine. Or perhaps it is a business model that frontier has found successful to release a new dlc each financial quarter.I was wondering... What or which part made each of every DLC packs took three to four months to be released? Before those came up with or started making, was Frontier or Planet Zoo creators and designers coming up with ideas or what?
Also Jurassic World Evolution 2? (except when one dlc pack featuring new creatures after previous pack featuring only sceneries and items) Before COVID, first one's took shorter time like... over one month, was it?Well initially covid complications took a toll on the initial plan of dlc releases, that's the public reason we know that the delay of any dlc was. And sorry I ask this but about the DLC pack featuring four habitat animals without themes of items and sceneries, how long did that take?Well initially covid complications took a toll on the initial plan of dlc releases, that's the public reason we know that the delay of any dlc was. Jwe2 was not affected by any delay as far as im aware, the usual one month release of the first dlc then followed the typical trend of dlc releases. It was summer of 2020 that the covid delays for planet zoo happened resulting in only 3 dlc in the year compared to the expected 4. Im not the most qualified to answer for jurassic related questions though, i can see it takes the same amount of time as planet zoo dlc takes to make. Also Jurassic World Evolution 2? The Tundra/Taiga pack. Only 1 or 2 animals could be interesting from there, the rest would just be too similar to what we have in game or too boring. Overrated as hell. And now lets go the other way, what do you feel is the most overrated pack idea being thrown around?
I like it but I’ve kinda lost the idea of a treetops pack. I just don’t think the scenery theme is strong enough to cover over 150+ pieces. My personal prediction is that they’re gonna single out the two remaining gaps in the game and just give them their own packs like they did with Oceania.Hear me out: Anniversary animal 2023: Blackbuck. December 2023 Highlands animal Pack. Spring 2024 Treetops pack. Summer 2024 Aviary Expansion pack. And finally 2024 anniversary animal Greater Rhea or Wild Boar. Isn't sound perfect? We had a great bunch of most requested desert, tropical and Oceania animals. So, what left? What wants the community the most? Cold climate animals, South American animals, monkeys, and birds. Wolverine, Coati, monkeys, parrots, etc. Literally this could be perfect (at least for me). The inclusion of 8 new cold climate animals from Asia, South America and Africa. A treetops pack with the coati, 2 monkeys and a bunch of new climbable pieces and tons of foliage. And for the perfect ending, the first expansion with flying birds (also terrestrial ones) with some new items, enrichment items, as well with the updates. And the best thing, 2 free new animals, an asian ungulate and a South American Bird / Most requested European animal. Literal perfection
Ok so I’m usually bird this or bird that, blah blah blah, lots of same old same old.Okay, here’s a discussion:
