True, its only been a week of everyone in this thread and its the only thing we discuss basically lol. I just can't think of any other pack they would go with.
I know Frontier has stuck with warmer climate animals this year and that a lot of people are feeling like we will see a cool climate pack next, but I'm not convinced. When I look at what the most wanted animals from the meta lists we get:
- Secretarybird
- Coati
- Tree kangaroo
- Walrus
- Wolverine
- Small new world monkies
- Baboon
- Musk Ox
- Takin
- Chameleon
- Cobra
- Shoebill
- Spectacled bear
It's worth noting that all of these animals have less than 300 votes each.
Now I am not an employee at Frontier but I have a few speculations.
1 - they are interested in making as much revenue as possible, especially after their loss last financial year
2- they want their packs to appeal to as many people as possible, with their three main demographics being causal gaming public, families with kids, and zoo/animal enthusiasts
3 - community engagement is a core element of frontiers market plan, so while they are not going to follow the metalist they will include 1-2 animals from time to time
4 - they break their packs down as such 1-2 community animals, 1-2 rig reusers, 1-2 educational and conservationally important animal, 1 oddball to keep things unpredictable and to generate buzz, and an exhibit animal.
5 - they are winding the game down, whether that means only 1 pack or another 5 is anyones guess.
When I look at the above list I think that while a mountain type pack is possible it is unlikely. I think that we are more likely to get "treetops" (secretarybird, coati, tree kangaroo, chameleon, wolverine, small monkey) ",Tundra" (musk ox, walrus, snow bunny, wolverine- yes I know it's in there twice I am just thinking of what they might include in whatever pack, it's pretty loose and Im not sticking to it hard, spectacled bear, takin ) "savannah" as much as I hate that idea, there is an unlimited possibility of stuff for Frontier to go with
