Yes and no, I was mostly thinking SouthWest United States and Mexico, it’s a really ecologically diverse desert.
Actually that makes me think, you get to have one animal pack for your country/ continent. Once this pack is released you will get no other animals. What would your 8 choices be? (If you decide to do something like the butterflies from the Grasslands Pack that’s fine too!)
Here is mine for North America:
- American Black Bear
- White Tailed Deer
- Wild Turkey
- Burrowing Owl
- Whooping Crane
- Mallard Duck
- Collared Peccary
- Alligator Snapping Turtle for an exhibit
Actually that was what I was thinking, could be pretty cool. Mexican theming with some other cowboy stuff. Get the coati, roadrunner, burrowing owl, peccary, etc.
If I was making a final animal pack for Australia...

For me I’m not really interested, We can get the peccary and coati in a Latin America Pack, as for the rest like ABB, roadrunner, turkey, owl, i don’t really care about those ones as much.
I wouldnt mind a second round of regional or continet packs. Might be cool to give them a different vibe aswell.
Like how the Australia pack went for the outback desert theme and the Oceania pack went more towards temperate/tropical
So Continent Packs with a switched vibe:
Asia - Himalaya
NA - Wild west
Europe - Tundra
SA - Well this can just get a straight up volume 2 imo
Africa - Tropical

I wonder if we might be able to figure out continued support time length and the next pack theme based on the anniversary animal. I know we have another month and a half until that, but that's about the halfway point between now and the Winter pack's likely release date.
For instance, if we did get something like the Wolverine for the anniversary, I think we could potentially rule out a highlands or tundra pack, and may even be looking at a final pack situation. I think it's very unlikely we'd get something like Wolverine for the anniversary but just making a point with this. I also think getting the Spectacled Bear for the anniversary would rule out a Highlands pack, and the Spectacled Bear would be a more likely candidate for the anniversary animal.
@Marvinb that's an interesting take on the continents and I think that's possible, if we have enough packs left. And I also think your specific biome picks are really good, although I am curious what would be added for Tropical Africa. I get that the game already has a ton of grassland African animals but it sort of feels like that's the biome that most of the more wanted animals from Africa live in.

I think that pretty much covers the basic needs i have. There are a bunch more i would like though including the giant armadillo and the southern pudu but they are not as important as the ones listed above. I would down for burrowing owls as well though. Love them.
Yeah i know that the most request animals from africa are mostly savannah animals. Just wanted to shake things up with something tropical after the Africa and Arid pack.
Mantled guereza, forest genet, a duiker would be a cool base for a DLC roster imo. Throw in something cloney like a forest buffalo, slender snouted/dwarf croc or african leopard aswell as the ball python for the exhibit.
Makes sense. Maybe this concept should be a whole new discussion, it's actually quite interesting and would be neat to see how people would make the linesup based on the continent and biome rules.

The majority of them don’t appreciate the new stuff, say it’s a waste of money (even though they don’t have to buy it

Exactly, like it blows my mind that there are people that would rather nothing than getting new animals, cause that’s what it felt like reading some of the comments, even if they are just mammals and reskins. I want birds too, but not enough to say that everything else is trash.

Oh man, you reminded me of when there was a livestream a while back and somebody was impersonating us and making us seem like morons and jerks.
Like, they made me sound like I was stupid by making a "darthquell" (by this time I renamed myself to DarthQuell) account and spamming: "Birds. BIRDS. BIIIIRRRRDDSSS. This pack is stupid, bring birds"
Yeah i made that mistake as well. I knew what was coming because i saw the same comments on the tropical and arid packs but curiosity bet me to it. Yup, there may be some animal choices I'm not fond of, but they're beautifully designed in almost all cases, and I can't expect every single animal included to be one that I'm personally wanting. Sure flying birds would have been a dream, but there's still plenty of great mammals.
That is very true, I mean, I include them with bird wants but it's not quite the same. Even if we got birds that can fly in real life but not in the game like the Secretary Bird, Swan, or Shoebill, that's not exactly what is generally meant by that. The Kiwi was definitely on the top of my list.
Yeah same, but i didnt mean that it wasnt requested. Just meant to say when people ask for birds, penguins and ratites isnt what they are after (usually)
