Winter 2023 DLC Speculation

Before the bird flu outbreak, Marwell Zoo in Hampshire had a walkthrough ground hornbill exhibit. I always had to in alone since my husband hated them!
That's cool! I just remember this hornbill pressed on the glass with his beak really hard at the local zoo! It scared me, whilst my best friend was laughing. So, I just assumed we as zoo visitors wouldn't be allowed near them at a reputable zoo.

Not the worst thing considering how many realistic aviaries are the size of the exhibit box, but both are not ideal in the slightest. I'll take habitat birds over poorly implemented exhibit birds any day.
Although for small songbirds and parrots, it’s probably the perfect size. Granted, a large exhibit midway between the standard and walkthrough being perfect for a range of birds

I'd be fine with many of the smaller birds (parrots, toucans, owls, turacos and other similar such birds) being in the walkthrough exhibit. Having a free-flight bird show would be a way I wouldn't mind flight coming to the game - it could involve both habitat and exhibit birds*, which disappear from their enclosure and appear in the show. As well as the flight component, where the bird's routes are laid down like a invisible track, each species could have its own unique behaviours that make use of some sort of additional items - things like a pond for pelicans, geese, ducks, spoonbills, ibises and cranes, a tree for parrots, hornbills and crowned pigeons to perch on and a rubber snake for secretary birds and roadrunners to attack. Plenty of zoos have some kind of bird show, which could add a lot of educational opportunities and a new side to management in the game.

* Almost all of the habitat birds mentioned on the forums (basically everything bar the gamebirds, swans and shoebill) are used in bird displays at least somewhere.

I have cool question for yall, what you prefer to get in PZ, Birds, Fully Aqautic Animals OR! Your most wanted animal/fav animal?
I'd have to say birds. Birds would add a lot of variety than 1 animal, plus they'd be much easier to implement than aquatic animals.

I mean, ignoring birds that fly often, we already have an array of ground dwelling species to choose from, such as pheasants, waterfowl, pelicans, cranes, herons, cu'ckoos, ratites, even raptors

I'm good with whatever we get tbh. There are animals i want from mountain, tundra, Eurasia, India, china and specially LAM. Only thing i would be dissapointed about would be a pack full of "boring" animals from Europe and NA.
