OMG THEIR BUTTS. THEY’RE SQUARES!I'll try to be even more fair, I'll make an honest pros and cons list:
Golden Snub Nosed Monkey
Pros:
Cons:
- Colourful & Attractive to a general audience.
- People who want more Asia rep are satisfied.
Gelada
- Outside of China it is very rare in captivity.
- Similar to the Proboscis Monkey in terms of importance to the roster (which to be clear is not that important)
- Wouldn't add too many new behaviors than what we already have for things like the proboscis monkey.
- Would add yet another asian primate onto the pile of asian primates we have gotten from packs all the way back to SEA pack.
Pros:
- Unique to the roster, we don't have any "Baboons" in the game (I know its not a true baboon but it would fill the gap).
- Colourful, maybe not be as colourful as Hamadryas but is still colourful.
- Big one I didn't think of until now, Baboons spend most of their time grazing around on the ground, since we know frontier challenges themselves with the climbing mechanics, would it not be a better decision to go with a monkey that spends most of its time on the ground?
- Would be the first African primate we get since the B&W ruffed lemur (which was low effort being an anniversary animal).
- Would use the chorus behavior (Video below).

Cons:
- Has a variety of other species it can be combined with for interspecies bonus (if we get them in the future such as barbary sheep, hyrax, etc).
- Can introduce several unique animations like shaking fluff in the wind, their upper lip thing (idk how to describe it).
- Common in captivity.
- May not be the most appealing to a general audience, however this can be worked around by keeping it out of the key art.
- Would require a bit of work for new animations however with the rest of the roster being mainly clones (bear, pallas cat, markhor, takin, etc) I think enough time would be provided to add detail to this animal and its behaviors.
