Same. Mountain Animal Pack sounds exactly like something to follow SEA or Arid animal packs fate.
The problem was they were both niche packs because they were both global region and biome packs at the same time so the breadth in which the animals can be used is limited arid was even worse in this since most of the animals were ungulates filling in no new niches.
highlands could suffer the same fate if people keep insisting on a roster half full of carpines because anyone who doesnt like caprines has no want for the pack and it inevitably wont be useful because it wont have rage if half of it is caprine substitutions. For the pack to be successful 2 eurasian caprines max and 3 total caprines max anything more will turn people away. It also cannot be central asian focused if it is it instantly because less useful it should have at least 3 of the animals be from other continents and I think the spectacled bear and gelda/hamadrayas make for good pick providing for both continental variety, climate variety and animal body plan diversity. So it can work but it can also completely fail.
This is why no matter how much people think it will work an all monkeys pack will absolutely fail because it has very little if any climate variation most monkeys live in the tropics plus it also has very like niche and general body plan diversity.
Its a reach but it's also the only full continent without a pack, I don't think it's impossible
How dare you forget Antarctica
but in all seriousness I have had a theory that they are going through all the ingame biome and continent tags which for continent tags there are only 3 left asia, central america and antartica 2 of which are extremely likely to happen.
