It should be in mountain pack.Do you think if it's Mountain Animal Pack, do you think the Tree Kangaroo can make it in?

They should really make, a Cloud Forest DLC...People have had their doubts due to how unique they are, especially their locomotion. I mean correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't they endemic to Highlands, so on paper they are a perfect pick. They are the animal I want most after New World monkeys but I just don't know if Frontier will do it, but I will pathetically cry happy tears if they do. I think even with the protest with Oceania, I don't know if they would have the time to change their plans to include it. My fingers are crossed so hard though.
1. Lion-tailed macaqueI guess since we're talking all things Asia, I'm curious, what are your top 10 wanted animals from the continent? I'm going with endemic species for mine, but if yours extends into North America or Europe that's ok!
In no particular order:
1. Sichuan Takin
2. Markhor
3. Reeve's Muntjac
4. Guar
5. Blackbuck
6. François's Langur
7. Lion-Tailed Macaque
8. Japanese Serow
9. Sloth Bear
10. Pallas's Cat
With proper roster it can be hundred times more interesting and fun to use than bland bald rock mountain pack. How would people feel about a cloud forest pack???
Agreed. I mean, cloud forests have more biodiversity and are more exotic, soooo their fauna is more relevant to typical zoos IMO...With proper roster it can be hundred times more interesting and fun to use than bland bald rock mountain pack.
Would be indeed a nice pack. Personally id make the pigeon a habitat animal animal and change the ocelot to the alligator lizardThey should really make, a Cloud Forest DLC...
Maybe not animal pack at first glance... But something along the lines of:
Actually, now that I think about it, it could easily be an animal pack!
- Tree Kangaroo
- Andean Bear
- Ocelot
- Black Howler Monkey
- Victoria Crowned Pigeon (WE)
Just add Grey Fox*, White-nosed Coati, AND Olingo (OR Kinkajou which is way more common in zoos)
*It occurs in a few cloud forests in the Far South of its range!
How would people feel about a cloud forest pack???
I guess maybe. Tho i think using the koala as a base and adding the hopping to it would be a better starting point since its allready quadrupedial and has grasping forearmsSmart people: Is it possible that the hopping animations (say the quokka as its hopping is fairly similar in a sense) in the game could be translated into a new arboreal rig for the tree kangaroo with some modifications?
I've been watching some videos on how tree kangaroos move, and it doesn't seem like they move super fast. I think the basis comes down to their powerful hind legs doing most of the work hopping up and across branches, while the front ones grip so they simply don't fall.
I think the possible issue from my nonexistent knowledge of rigging/animations is the fact that the hopping marsupials in game are bipedal while tree kangaroos are quadrupeds. Does this difference and the fact they hop across surfaces not off them make the existing hopping animations completely unusable as a base? Hope this message makes sense!
Edit: If we do get them I'd love a developer journal on their locomotion, even though we go one for the tropical pack! I'm super curious about this!
They would need to combine a variety of animations from different animals like quokka and the koala also with a lot of work to edit those animations / behaviours to make it look natural.Smart people: Is it possible that the hopping animations (say the quokka as its hopping is fairly similar in a sense) in the game could be translated into a new arboreal rig for the tree kangaroo with some modifications?

I don't know... rocky habitats for goats when done right are some of the more fun habitats to build for and getting to watch them hop around the rocks everywhere. Each to their own I guess. With proper roster it can be hundred times more interesting and fun to use than bland bald rock mountain pack.
I mean, I don't think they would start from scratch for animals like brown bears or tigers, right? That would be super annoying and redundant if they couldn't. I'm wondering to what extent they can realistically apply and edit an existing animation before it would be cheaper/easier to start from scratch.I heard someone say that they could take any animation from any animal and apply it to others. Is that true?????
OR, did I misremember?
We don’t talk enough about the NA animal pack in general, the beaver, sea lion and moose are the stars of that pack and have so much work put into them and they look amazing. Even Arctic Fox has the digging animations and the gator has incredible detail.I honestly don't think we talk about the Cali sea lion enough. Their "on-land" locomotion must have been a lot of work and it looks amazing to me!
Yeah, that's what I'm thinking. Would the koala even be a good base? They are both arboreal and quadrupedal I think their locomotion stops in similarity. Tree kangaroos being macropods literally hop like kangaroos, wallabies, wallaroos, etc. I think a lot of the idle koala animations could be modified though. (Again, I have no experienced with this stuff in any capacity, so if I say something stupid tell me!)They would need to combine a variety of animations from different animals like quokka and the koala also with a lot of work to edit those animations / behaviours to make it look natural.
Its really good quality wise indeed and definetly a big step up from the SEA pack in that regardWe don’t talk enough about the NA animal pack in general, the beaver, sea lion and moose are the stars of that pack and have so much work put into them and they look amazing. It has had it for quite a whileTo the other folk that frequent Zootierliste. Did yall notice that it now also has data on asia and oceania??

If anything i see quokka animations as first step into getting lagomorphs.Smart people: Is it possible that the hopping animations (say the quokka as its hopping is fairly similar in a sense) in the game could be translated into a new arboreal rig for the tree kangaroo with some modifications?
