If you get too close to a star and get pulled out of supercruise, don't try to jump to your next system until you're well clear of the star, and cooled down. Otherwise your cargo hatch may just fail, and jettison all your cargo.

When you can, go on a convoy/expedition with others. You'll learn more about the game and those in the galaxy in that time than you ever will on your own.

If it looks dangerous, it usually is a lot more dangerous than you thought, so fly a cheap throw-away ship if you don't fancy the odds. The insurance company (and your own wallet) will thank you for it.

Buy a Clipper. It's sexy, the perfect ship for mining and it's the best ship in game for running away.
Did I mention it's sexy?
And don't try mining until you have sufficient funds, but definitely try it once you do.

There is a little scanner bar thingy on your SRV that shows where you can find deposits of materials for synthesis .... I learned this whilst 'winged up' with a long term player (#Pro-Tips)

A Humble Advice

Welcome CMDR,

- Accept the learning curve Dont discourage yourself even if you are doing bad at combat, there are plenty of other stuff to do. ( I loved exploration with no weapon ship)

- Make a gameplan even if it looks like silly one Done some trading finally got 20m credits, bought an ASP Explorer with Exploration fit, then started exploring galaxy.. Found out Exploring income too low for my taste.. So i decided Clear Save and start over.. Just to make my money by exploration..

- Share with community Im a lone wolf type of player. But i always play in Open Play. Also I use forum and twitch to tell other CMDRs my achievements and ask about theirs)

- Know that this game is what you get from it It can be an adrenaline game with combat esp pvp or it can be one of the most relaxing and immersive game that may last whole life.
