When you start with your free Sidey, sell your basic discovery scanner, buy a 2 slot cargo module. Upgrade the other 2 to a 4. You now have 6 cargo slots. Gets you rolling much quicker and more missions will appear for your perusal.

The name of the game "Elite: Dangerous" comes from one of the combat ranks. That's it. It is not an excuse for doing horrible things to others.

*drops mic*

Funny, I thought you would be quite ok with all sorts of egregious behaviour?

My contribution:

Check your cargo hatch, it's faulty.

when traveling long distance you will have installed a fuel scoop, top up your tank at every opportunity to avoid getting stranded as there are plenty of stars out there that you cannot refuel from.

Flying tired is just as bad as flying drunk.

Well, in my case probably worse. Too many bumps doing some late night trading.

When exploring, don't rush to destinations, the route planner will just lead you through lots of M type systems which are boring. Choose your destinations. Hot A, F, G, K stars are good for finding interesting worlds like earthlikes and water worlds (also, they are all scoopable so no worries about fuel). Read Nutter's guide to exploration for more info and tips.

Many scanners you fit are situational (some used only in SC, others used in normal space), and can be configured together to the same firing group on your ship, since they will only fire as designed.

Fear is not real it's your imagination and what others place in you with their words. But the danger ...

it's very real if you are not careful.

Stay away from the menu option "Clear Save" and the in-game right panel option "Self Destruct" unless you fully understand what they do and you really want to use them.
