IMPORTANT: World's Fair Pack coming soon!

https://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2018-10-09-planet-coaster-gets-some-international-flair-in-the-upcoming-worlds-fair-expansion

Eurogamer list these countries:
The World's Fair Pack takes Frontier's theme park sim on a globe-hopping tour of ten different countries. The result is a brand-new collection of over 360 building and scenery items - including shops, restaurants, and billboards - inspired by the UK, France, Italy, Spain, Germany, Japan, Mexico, Morocco, China, and the USA. Ideal if you fancy attempting to build your own version of Disney's Epcot or, you know, the world.

300 building items and more than 60 scenery items to create an immersive park packed with atmosphere.

Although I am eager to work with the Moroccan set, I would have liked a greater variety of African countries. Egypt, Sudan, Ethiopia, Mali, and Zimbabwe in particular are known for very distinctive indigenous architectural traditions. Plus, we might get African wildlife animatronics for our safari rides!

Not a single new Flat ride in this DLC, or the Free update, a great shame.

And as many have said, can't believe there's still no Chairlifts or Grand Carousel, with my personal favs a Helter Skelter, and Paratrooper still omitted too, instead, we get what looks like another Monorail only with a glorified reskin, come to think of it, Frontier do like repeating themselves, don't they? With the exception of the 'Centrum' (from the vintage pack) the only Flat ride we've seen in the last year, that wasn't basically a reskin of exsiting flats was the 'Weisshorn', not counting 'Horror Hights' obviously, I'm on about flats you can just place down, and be done.

One saving grace I suppose is with the introduction of the thememakers kit (and previously the scenario editor) more control moves to the player regards creation (I can see their thinking regards this 'Themes' DLC now) which of course enables Frontier to just concentrate on Core Features and Rides in the terms of what they create in the future, so hopefully the next DLC will just be a Rides DLC, that's my thinking anyway.
I'm thinking the next DLC will be a all flat rides DLC as well. The thememakers kit will focus more on themes leaving more time for Frontier to add more flat rides. I think going forward Frontier should have a Family/Kiddie Rides DLC and Thrill Rides DLC.

So, I know two things we are NOT getting any time soon. Water parks and new biomes. But, I hope we get more flats and other rides in the future. I hope for a grand carousel, chairlift, giant flume, sports cars tracked ride, diesel train, Gravitron, Paratrooper, Flying Eagles, S&S Space Shot, Sky Swing, Slingshot, and maybe a Mengels Whip with 12 cars. Was there any mention of anything else being released along with the Thememakers Toolkit? Are customizable attractions like mini golf possible in Planet Coaster? Well, maybe someone can make a fake animated chairlift ride with the toolkit if we can do animated things. Would blinking RR crossing signals be possible? Animated gates on a trigger timer?

Hm.

If i am going to buy this pack depends on if the boosterbike is another adult/teens only restricted coaster.
Haven't played for a while now, because it is too frustrating that i can't build what i want.

But the decoration pieces and new shops look nice though.

@Frontier

if you really listen to the community then you have noticed that the majority asks for new flatrides....in my opinion, the next dlc can only consist flatrides [big grin] maybe you can consider that at the next dlc ;)

Bo are chairlifts possible to create in Planet Coaster?

I hope its something that can be answered. If they are possible that's awesome and look forward to the day. If they are not possible can the team let us know?

Thank you for your communication and thank you to the team for continuously developing and creating.

I would like to know this too. I really want to see Chairlifts added in PC someday.

Why should it not be possible?

The only problem i can think of is that with most chairlifts it's 2 person "car's". In order to not break up family's we might need a similar approach to how the Hoax is handling it.

(But ofcourse im not a developer)

Awesome! I've just started working on an African styled theme park and wanted to do a Moroccan area, now i'll have the pieces to make it!

It isn’t 1980 anymore... [big grin] chairlifts for 2 persons are not common anymore. 4, 6 or 8 passengers in row are nowadays standard in the mountains. For cabinlifts (continuous system) the capacity is mostly between 8 and 16. Larger cabins exists.

Small versions are more beautiful though.

Hope they've got an alpine dlc in the planning...
Perfect fit for it.

Looks like a good DLC pack for a lot of generic parks, with them adding more stalls etc. Would love to see some more official scenarios myself personality to utilise some of the new features, as I struggle to find inspiration when building parks as I am not the most creative builder, who tries and not use the workshop.

[woah]

The scenery looks awesome! Seems to be a great pack.

"The Polarity is an unmanned rapid transport system using magnetic forces to propel the train forward at great speed." - Does anybody know a park having such a ride in reality? To me this sounds like a Maglev...?

But nevertheless I congratulate to this pack. The devs have made a lot of effort again!"

We can't have flat rides in every update, as they are incredibly time-consuming and taxing to produce and deliver.

Thx for answering, Bo! Of course, I would never think anything else. ;) The devs have my greatest respect for their work, even there's no flat ride in an update.
I now hope that the devs could focus their work on creating flat- and tracked rides after publishing the Toolkit which allows us to create own scenery objects.
Frontier have already presenting us lots of great scenery stuff for the game. Hundrets of wonderful and awesome scenery objects and building elements. I think - and it's just my personal opinion - it's now time to set their focus in creating new rides, as well as in improving the park managment. ;)

And again: Thumbs up for this great new update and DLC! :D

Excited for this one, thanks Frontier.

Re: chairlifts
I would hazard a guess that this would be very complex to get working correctly. I think the main issue would be the cables, and they are causing the main headaches - gone are the days of a flat peice of horizontal cable (track), Planco is so much more than that [happy]

Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom (the PeopleMover/Tomorrowland Transit). Its powered by magnetic propulsion and was one of the very first debuting in 1975.

I just thought of something else "It's A Small World" will be that much easier to make with this new pack...

A boat ride, using the boat coaster, through 10 different countries !

That's just one possibility ;-)

- EDIT -

The chair lift might be a bit harder as the cables tend to droop slightly in real life, imagine having to create that in a 3D game environment ?

They could go the RCT classic route & just have them go at angles & what not but lets face it folks want a bit of realism in PlanCo right ?

As far as rides go that is, also they could make them like the new Disney one being made currently....

( Yea go look at them if your curious about the progress there )

To bad that a slow moving boat from the Cascade coaster does not attract a single peep.
Even with fully decorated queues and scenery.
