Wrong Numbers in Zoopedia

I've built a Enclosure for Ring Tailed Lemurs and have a Group consisting of 3 males and 12 Females but I just got the Notification that they are fighting because of too many Animals of a Gender. Zoopedia mentions a possible Group-Size of up to 29 males, 29 Females. Can I have only one or maybe two male Lemurs in the Enclosure or is the Fighting just a Bug?

It has to do with the ratio of males to females. Some animals will fight even when within their accepted social group size where one (or both) genders fight to establish dominance for mating rights. The zoopedia is telling you what you need have for number of males and females to keep them happy, as in their social group satisfaction number. Fighting is not a factor in what the zoopedia shows, only their happiness.

It's normal for some animals to fight. You CAN choose to take action to correct the ratio to stop the fighting, but you don't have to....just have enough vets to tend to any wounds that might happen when they fight in that case.

It's weird because I had Bonobos in my old Zoo and they only fought if there were more males/females than the Numbers in the Zoopedia. The male Lemurs are fighting even though they are within the Numbers and have more than enough Space in the Enclosure. They have currently 75% in Welfare. I wish at least the Notification would vanish after some Time

Edit: now it's 95% Welfare because I've replaced the Enrichment-Items. But the Notification is still there

Bononos are promiscuous. Each male can mate with any female, therefore the males are not really competitors. They don’t mind sharing, so to speak.

With lemurs, only a single male can mate with the females. Any other male is considered a competitor that needs to be chased away or eliminated.

But why do they recommend in the Zoopedia up to 29 males for a mixed Gender Group?
If they write something like this, they should at least implement something like the other males being most of the Time in another Part of the Enclosure if it is big enough

Because having that many males won't make them unhappy. The zoopedia is giving you the numbers for the animal happiness. Period. The fighting aspect does not effect their happiness.

Just because you don't want them to be fighting is irrelevant, the animals themselves don't mind it at all.

Many players have expressed concern with the frequency of fighting and animal injuries that result from it though, so they may tone that down in a future patch. You aren't alone in being alarmed by it.

OK, now I understand. But hopefully they will make a Update where the Fighting-Notification disappears after some Time.

You could make a suggestion in the appropriate part of the forum. I'd support it. Notifications do tend to be a bit... intrusive.
And the game is overly clicky as it is.
I get that some notifications require your attention, but most of them could be changed into a simple pop-up that would stop bothering you if you don't want to deal with it immediately. :)

What we really need is a dismiss button on each notification which would stop it from continuing to show up and mark it as "viewed" in the list of notifications.
