X55 Rhino Button Layout with Reference Card

No worries :)

If you haven't already done so, check you have the latest drivers:

http://www.saitek.com/uk/down/drivers.php

i just have it a week, downloaded last builds.

i got the slider working, it's easy as it gets. i simply set a macro on it, with just 1 button pressed.
it repeats the command, so i have exactly what i wanted: a flight assist toggle(set to hold in game).
right -> fa off. left -> fa on.
works like a charm now.
thx mate, i'll rep you all day long. ehm.

No worries at all orka!

I am a kickstarter backer so no doubt I will at some stage. Waiting for release for that one though :)

If anyone has had the chance to test out the profile, would love to hear its all working. This is the first profile I have shared so would be good to know its working for others :)

Update to my X-55 Ultimate Profile has just gone live. Now profile v1.2.

Includes, new Sensor Panel axis that was added in v1.1, remapping of the HUD key back to CTRL+ALT+G & some other refinements to the mode switching & also the rotary switch for the FPS+Bandwidth should now work much better.

Please remember to update if you are using it! :)

Hey Aussiedroid, thanks for the profile - trying it out now!

One request, though - would it be possible to get a copy of the reference without the background so it can be printed? I'm pretty bad at memorizing keymappings, so being able to print it would be a godsend. Thanks!

Hi MisterPhoton! Thanks for the feedback!

Yeah that shouldn't be an issue at all (should have thought of that!).

I'll upload it tonight .. hang tight mate.

Anyone know how to bind forward backward thrust to that slider on throttle? So when i slide it to one side i go forward and when i slide it backward i'd go backwards. Button is not as cool as slider.

Hey there cpy, you can get it earlier in this thread, but there is a link in my profile sig.

I don't think it would work very well having forward and back thrusters on the slider as it doesn't have a neutral position, so you would always have to be going forward or back. Can give it a try though. If you are checking out my profile you can change the two keys mapped on the slider to keys you have mapped on your thrusters, save, load profile and test it out. If it doesn't work out then you can easily change back anyways (my commands will be saved for selection later).

I don't want neutral position, i need to go forward all the time when i have it on forward mode, i hate when game change direction of thrust because you rotated quickly, that's what's flight assist off is used for. Also you can easily check your current mode with slider than with a button.

Also i have disabled signatures. :)

How will you stop? The slider would always have forward or back on depending if you have it up or down, so you would always have the thrusters on.

I use stick to set my thrust from 0-100 and button to switch forward backward, setting direction switch to slider won't affect thing that i can pull throttle down to 0 or 100 if i want to.
Direction switch never seemed to change amount of thrust i set.

I think cpy wants to set the slider switch the same way I'm trying to. You can bind a keypress to reverse thrust direction on the throttle. I (and probably cpy) want to somehow emulate that keypress with the slider, so that when the slider is in forward position the throttle regulates forward thrust, and backwards thrust in the backwards position. Has anyone achieved that?

Sliders are really hard to configure on hotases, but are sometimes much better at doing things you want to set much better than buttons. Sadly hardly any game support them.

In my setup, I have mapped both directions of the slider to the SCROLL LOCK key which is my Frame Shift Drive. Shouldn't be any reason why you cannot map it to two different keys for the thrusters. I'm just not sure it will work the way you guys might want it to. If you go back a page or two in the thread I posted a picture of the setup for the slider in the Saitek software if that helps?

You have mapped the slider to scr lock in the Saitek software, you mean? If I understand you correctly, the slider works as a push button that's pressed momentarily when you move it? If so, then it might work as I want it to.

Nice X55 setup you got, though :) "Auto request docking" and "jettison all cargo" are very close together... I'd consider changing that, one day it might be disaster.
