Can confirm the lance has unlimited ammo, however there's reports that NPC crew members not engage thargoids when flying the lance. I'm Gunna be mad if this is the case as I've just spend hours grinding to unlock it.

My suspicion is that since they just made the ammo unlimited instead of fixing the re-arm, those that had their ammo counter sitting at 1 (or less than max) will still show at that value, but it should still give unlimited ammo.
Swapping out the fighter in Outfitting (at a station with a Guardian tech broker) then switching it back to the lance should reset the ammo counter back to max value.

I tested it out last night, it does seem to work now. Not sure how often it fires but it does attack
