Sorry but you are a bit mixed-up. The Eagle Nebula is NGC 6611 or better known as Messier 16 (M16) - it is in the constellation Serpens whereas NGC 7822 is to be seen in the constellation Cepheus. You are probably confusing the "Elephant's Trunk Nebula" (in Cephus) with the "Pillars of Creation" due to the unfortunate use of the term "Elephant's Trunks" to describe certain types of astronomical formations.

I'm able to navigate the night sky seen through a telescope from Earth, but finding my way around out there in ED is a totally different story.
