Good one - I'm not that far out of the bubble either in my shiny new Conda
I was hoping to venture much further out, but I reached a point nearby the bubble with nice fresh un-tagged systems and interesting planets to (very carefully!) land on!
When you look at Astronomy Picture of the Day (http://apod.nasa.gov/apod/) and think "Ooh, I was there last weekend! So that's what it looks like from Earth!"
You create a 3D map of a non-procedural sector to see where it ends and the procedurals begin, using a custom python script to decode subsector names to the grid, and an iPad Pro to create a 64-layer map of 64 megapixels per layer, all hand drawn

Ever been wandering on a planet several Kylies out, and suddenly you think you see someone just standing in the middle of a huge crater, in zero G, with no atmosphere. It's obviously not a person, but one of those tall, slender rocks that looks like a person. But wouldn't it be freaky if it waved at me? Of course it won't, it's a rock.
What if I'm the rock, and this is someone looking at me, thinking I'm a person? Maybe I'll wave.. but I don't want to scare them.
I've been out too long.
It does things to a person.
That's if I am actually out here. Maybe I just think I'm out here. Maybe I'm actually a character in a game, and someone is on the outside, playing me? Maybe I'm the person outside, playing? Maybe the person sitting at home is in the game, being played, and I'm the real one. Sitting here on a planet. Staring at a rock. Or person. Or being stared at.
I think I'll wave.

Ok that's creepy, because that's EXACTLY what I dreamed last night, and not for the first time, either!
