Congratulations on making it to the end of another week... Well they're here, the Thargoids that is. What with all the new 'stuff' to see I should imagine a lot of you will be very busy. Hence you need to tell everyone right now what it is that will be keeping you so busy!

Tell us everything you plan on achieving this weekend in the Elite galaxy.

PS4 CMDR's: Welcome, hows it going, you made it out the space dock yet?
Miners: Whats this weekends metal of choice?
Traders: Profit margins and how much do expect to make per trip?
Pirates: See above for some income ;)
Bounty Hunters: Have you considered escorting the traders?
Explorers: Are we there yet?

Myself, well I am still approaching Sag A but the going is slow as there are other 'things' which need to be done but hope fully this will be the weekend I get there... Or not.


I've nothing else to say today - Makes a change - So I will bid you all a good weekend, have fun and fly safely!

P.S. If you don't manage to achieve you're goals then of course feel free to blame TJ or any other mod (But we all know it was TJ really ;))

1) get to the alien base without my UA and UP falling out of my corroded hold, shove them in the "machine" and gasp in wonderment at the ensuing VR experience

2) try the Lavecon Buckyball Race for myself and make damn sure I can get a top 10 time (or forever hang my head in shame)

3) maybe get prepped to run the Double Action Jackson race next week

First I'm going to sleep for 12 hours, then drink gallons of coffee, then stare vacantly into space, and after that possibly some Elite (also staring into space).

Lasers and multi cannon fire will ensue, laughter will be had.

In between bouts of farming gold maps on MEA cos co op play is preferable to single player solo mode, Im still somewhere on the road to jacques...14klys to go. I made 2 klys in a week since I last answered one of yer threads...go me. A sorta loose plan is forming...get to jacques and transfer the keelback to here...cos a 23ly range really aint as much fun when its a 21kly as the crow flies journey, before hitting sag a.

Tis a good plan because up until now, Ive never so much as owned an slf because there was no need out here...until about 3 months ago when I watched some guys canyon racing which looked awesome and I thought, ye...I want some of that while I do everything I can to ignore the antics of the bubble and watch it burn from a safe distance.

Now thats a form of pvp I really could take part in...and in open too...miracles do happen it seems.

Forum pvp on the other hand...Im starting to actually pity the mods here. What was that about miracles happening? Up until last night, it was relatively engaging with some decent debates, but its actually getting worse and Im finding my patience limit lately and just not bothering anymore. The hypocracy and salt levels are just not as much fun anymore...backing off somewhat from that game...mods can chill now and the rest of ye can have a nice weekend whatever yer playing ^

one day on a festival and one day elite-rethinking my fleet that normaly comes with engineers approvements, and want to get further into this alien thing. I have seen just one alien site.

Like every other weekend, I'll be working. Unlike most weekends, my wonderful family have conspired to be elsewhere, so I'm looking forward to having up to four whole hours in which I might be able to play Elite without distraction on Saturday and Sunday. Eight wonderful hours of Elite time. More time than I put in on a typical week.

So during this weekend:

Neophyte Commander Beth Johansson will be running her first Buckyball Race, in her brand new Hauler, Lord Thunderhead III.

Veteran Commander Inga Stevenson will continue pressing with the Small Worlds Expedition 2, rather than Buckyballing it back to the Bubble.

Well after last weekend with Daughter running in Race for life and raising nearly £600 thanks to the crafty commanders who found out.. :D

I shall attempt to relax and get a bit of Elite in.... but that'll probably not happen due to kids....

Hovering about Colonia atm doing a bit of honking and keeping an eye on those pesky Thargoids...

I'm on holiday... but back home. The Kids house guests are out tonight, so I'll grab the opportunity to catch up on my elite time.

Started the trip back from Eta Carina this morning, where I was out looking for Guardian sites, whilst everyone else is discovering Thargoid sites 9000 LY away :D

Damnit! Mods just hovering around jacques like one of those hard to shift odours from the shake n vac ads. I knew I should have fitted guns...such a wasted opportunity ^

Saw the pics on off topic but...well...mods...ye know how it is between them and moi but well done her all the same ^

I don't really get to play much at weekends, as well as occasional hangovers the missus always manages to remember something I said I might do around the house or garden from 6 months ago. So yeah, no Elite for me and I tell you this Elite community, keep your smirkng and fake sympathy to yourselves. You don't care, don't pretend you do, and Bran, even with the posting of another of these threads you are essentially throwing me to the wolf that is my missus.

So, stick it where the sun don't shine Elite community, you are a bunch of selfish, unsympathetic and shallow commanders. Oh yeah, and TJ, don't you start and stop texting my missus with job ideas for me.

I'm in the process of finishing up an exploration mission (for Science!) and am scanning every system on the way back, discovered or not. Not too far of a skirmish into the black, about 1700 ly out of the bubble for this one. But I got to see some cool sights, like a red nebula surrounding a Blue-White star. :D

Figured with all the excitement I've had the last 2 Community Goals, a little R&R in the black showing some Scientists and explorers around would be relaxing.
