Your engineered explorer ship loadouts and jump ranges

Since Coriolis has full support for mods now, I have discontinued this list, and will no longer be updating it. If you wish to post your builds somewhere, I'd recommend CMDR Reaper's Post your jump range thread.

I've decided to start a new thread listing the engineered explorer ships of people, with loadouts added. If you decide to post yours, please post a screenshot showing its full tank jump range, and the loadout of your ship for reference! I recommend using Coriolis.io or E:D Shipyard for this.
I'd also recommend writing up what mods you've added to the ship, but this is optional.

On to the list of ships then! I'll list the highest jump range achieved in each category (see more on this at the end of the post), and I'll be leaving out any ships for which nobody has sent in any builds yet. Oh, and for the record, I count any ship that has at least a discovery scanner and a fuel scoop fitted as an exploration-capable ship.

Some explanation about the category part. It's a mixture of three subgroups, which are the following, and how they are assigned:

Exploration:
- Minimal (ADS only) / Space-rated (ADS+DSS) / Planet-rated (ADS+DSS+SRV)
- Stock fuel tank / Below stock fuel / Above stock fuel

Defence:
- No shields / Light shields (the smallest the ship can equip) / Heavier shields
- No boost / Standard boost (under 440 m/s) / Quick boost (over 440 m/s)

Weapons:
- No weapons / Light weapons (not all hardpoints filled) / Fully armed

Feedback and suggestions are also welcome!

Ironicly enough, your range is almost exactly what I get if I go without boost too. I want to have boost available though, and it costs me 1ly in range. I just can't give up boosting around planet surfaces and icy rings... [hotas]

I think it's what makes you have more fun Mengy and boost can be one of those things. I never use it and I always fly in scarce areas with jumponium. Maximising my range is more important in my case.

Oh I would love to but "what you see is what you get" as I just started the Engineer path.

Mods
Grade 3 low emissions power-plant - Secondary 10% weight reduction (= zero mass increase overall)
Grade 3 Dirty drives
Grade 5 FSD mod
Grade 1 low power shields - Secondaries of optimal strength & mass reduction

Next engineered module is power distributor to go for a lower class and engine focused to constantly boost, but not got that far yet,
i can get over 50LY full tank on a minimal spec but i prefer a more able / agile ship for longer journeys.

the aim is 50ly full tank on a well kitted DBx by shaving weight off the mining laser, power distributor and dropping one SRV

In my opinion, these four are the best exploration ships when engineered - the Asp Explorer, the Anaconda, the Diamondback Explorer and the Imperial Courier. Also, very nice mod on the power plant then! Good to know that you can get a secondary mass reduction on that recipe. I've made three or four of those, haven't gotten it on any of them.

Also, come 2.2 we'll all be able to shave off a nice amount of weight by using lightweight life support mods. However, you do need Founder's world access for the engineer.

that particular recipe took some rolling [wacky] but it really does run cool now which means i dont really need heat sinks trimming more weight off :) without the DD i get Ice on the windscreen in deep space while in SC, but the thrusters are my fail safe vs thargoids / other things i dont like the look of - Plus i love flying around over 400m/s over planets :D, the agility vs stock is nuts too!

with the DD i think i'm just slightly cooler than a standard DBx @ 17% heat in SC - (deep space) all systems powered.
 
I just saw Rhea and Mengy's posts. Rhea's beats Strix at the moment, but I think Strix might beat Rhea's if I forewent boost (which, like Mengy, I'm not willing to do). Edited: Yep, it could. I can get 53.32 LY with Rhea's build. I'll post screenies of that later when I have a chance.

Here is my actual loadout, on my last trip I had 47.06/50.72 with the same loadout, but I optimised the FSD and additionally thrusters and PowerPlant, next time I'll try the 2D-Powerplant, but this time I wasted to much time in the bubble and wanted to go out again...

Yeah, that's a good idea. To be honest, I've rarely paid much attention to max jump range, preferring to always plan for the full tank jump range instead, but your suggestion makes sense. I've added that to the entries, as well as added your Asp into the mix. Thanks!

Out of curiosity are you going to have every ship submitted on the first post? Also, do you need anything other than a screenshot showing the full tank range and the coriolis build?

Oops, looks like I missed your earlier post. Sorry about that! Your Asp is now on there too.
Well, I would always like to see what mods have been applied to the loadout, but the screenshot and the loadout are enough in themselves too.
Also, I originally didn't plan on including every ship in the first post, just the biggest ones in their respective categories. But there's plenty of leeway with the categories themselves, so I might as well do that too. We'll see how many people post theirs.

My max range is 61.67 ly. The 63 figure was a pure maxed out figure without shields or SRV.
