Rocinante1.jpg The Rocinante From The Expanse series. I'm not looking forward to the TV-series though. Great books however.

Another from my youth, the X bomber. Very cheesy, love the crap attempts at puppet salutes - Lol

Does anyone else remember cheese?

Found in an alien temple, put it in your pocket, get it out on the surface and jump in and you have the fastest ship in the game. Go on Frontier, you know you want to do it with planetary landings ;)

Otherwise from sci-fi pick one of these -> http://blogs.scientificamerican.com/but-not-simpler/files/2013/10/size_comparison___science_fiction_spaceships_by_dirkloechel-d6lfgdf.jpg

And in game can the mining lasers be buffed to the level in the original Elite please (Cobra with mining laser ruled).

Currently in ED: Cobra MKIII

In Sci-fi it's hard to choose, but off the top of my head: Voyager

Just chuck Chakotay (and to a lesser degree Janeway) out of the airlock and stick Neelix in a blender and you're good to go. Also promote the Doc to captain...and punch Tuvoc in the face.

Rifter from EVE for sure. The number of pods I popped in these....:)

And my big boy toy in that game years ago.

In-game, probably the Asp.

In science fiction novels, the "Nostalgia for Infinity" in Alastair Reynold's Revelation Space trilogy.

In movies... well, forget all this recent stuff. Let an old guy show you what we were imagining back in 1956, with the United Planets Cruiser C-57D from "Forbidden Planet"... now that's a spaceship:
