Your First Impressions

Your English is great, no worries at all.

We still have that thread, I just wanted some new information from post-Beta to see if it's anything additional I can send to the team.

Thank you for you reply and all your hard work!
I have a couple of things to add to this since the beta:

- When hovering on the zoo finances, we used to have a little tooltip with the current profit/loss. This seems to have been replaced by the little arrow pointing up or down, and we now have to open the zoo finances to see what our actual profit/loss is. I liked it better as it was before (having a condensed view on mouseover)

- It's good that we can see what trees animals don't like more easily since they are now highlighted when we hover over them. But the fact that the panel closes as soon as we select one of the trees to remove them is very tedious, because we have to re-open the panel again. Overall I'd like it better if windows didn't close unless we told them to.

- I like the little light rings around the staff when we are placing staff (makes it easier to see where we are putting them down when there are many things in the area), but when placing different kinds of staff, having to open the window every time is very frustrating. I understand that it hides automatically because that window is very big, but it is still kind of annoying. Maybe having the staff hiring in a separate, smaller window would be useful? Or just the windows not closing unless told to.

- I can't remember if this was added to the beta thread, and since this really bugged me I might as well add it here: When placing utilities, the heatmaps opens automatically (which is great), but the heatmap's overlay is so strong that it makes seeing the paths difficult. I also have this issue when checking out the negative impact of things on guests - it is hard to see if the "bad" zone reaches the guest path. It would be nice to be able to adjust the overlay's intensity, or maybe if the outline of paths was more visible on the heatmap.

- When editing barriers, the move barrier button is hidden under another button. I actually thought it had disappeared until I zoomed in super close and managed to find it.

- Also when editing barriers: I would like to be able to bind a shortcut to the curved/straight barrier toggle. Having to click on the option in the interface is annoying. It would be much more comfortable to have the option to bind it to something.

Thanks to all the team for your hard work, and thank you for your patience and kindness!
You guys rock <3

Quick update on the UI issues/megathread: the team have been using that post to look at what we can do.
  • Clicking on the locate button in the Zoo Overview Management animal list, habitat will now open the relevant info panel - We have a fix for this very soon.
  • I want to be able to sort any table of data by column, but currently some panels allow sorting and some don't. - This was fixed on release.
  • When clicking the Zoopedia button on an animal in the Animal Trading window or Exhibit Market window, I want the Zoopedia to open with that animal selected - This was fixed on release.
  • When opening the Zoopedia manually by clicking on the UI button, I want the Zoopedia to open to the same page it was on when I closed it - This was fixed on release.
  • I would like to be able to move multiple animals at once from my trading post to an enclosure - This was fixed on release for Sandbox, Challenge, and Career Mode.
  • I would like to see an alert when an animal becomes pregnant - This was fixed in 1.0.1
  • I want to receive an alert for each animal when they are ready to leave quarantine - This was fixed on release.
  • I want to receive an alert when my animals go from infant to adult state. - This was fixed on release.
  • I need to be able to filter and sort entries in the Trade History window. If this is not possible, then at the very least it needs to be listed in reverse chronological order, so that the last traded animals are at the top. Right now the window is unusable after you have traded a lot. - This was fixed on release.
All the other feedback from the Megathread is under investigation (which means the team is actively looking into it) and we will update you with more information when we have it! :)

There were a few other bits in the Megathread that we will not be changing. These are:
  • I want to be able to shrink the panel size of the lower panels down to a single row of items to make more room for the main game window on smaller resolutions. - UI does not support this.
  • I would like the Compare Mates window to remain open as a floating window alongside the Animal Market window so as to more easily compare different mates against market options. - UI does not support this.
  • I want more to be able to pin windows as a floating window that stays open so that I can more easily compare data contained in different windows.- UI does not support this.
  • I would like to see my CC price set for the trade, while the animal is on the auction (1 hour period). At the moment there is no possibility. If I noticed market price dropped or some species deficit appears, I would adjust my price immediately, if I knew what the price was. - By design.
Thanks for the continued support! <3 we'll continue to work on improvements and keep you posted as much as possible!

Thanks for the update - with the section above, if we can't have this open can we have a button in the Compare mates section that leads you to the animals profile? or even better where you could send the animal to the trading post from this window? My reason is when you're managing a large number of animals you sort of want to figure out who you're keeping and who you're not and at the moment you have to go from the compare mates sections - to the animal tab, find the animal and then send them to the trading post - it's can be quite a process especially with a large number of animals
