mining was fun...before the latest BGS changes and nerf. How it takes so much effort to find a place to sell high-value materials it's not fun anymore.

LOL. Takes all kinds. I love the new mechanics. Feels like actually being a miner. I hunt contracts that pay well and then fill up with whatever I think I can sell for the rest of the cargo. I can be safe and take Platinum, Osmium, or roll the dice on Painite,VO or LTD. Makes more than I can on just bland mission cargo running and more interesting to me than “go shoot pirate named $pirate_name”. Different sides of the same coin but I enjoy this more than just “always mine void opals”.

PVP, thats... player vs planet! Hooning around planets and canyons, FA-off. Small fast ships, cheap rebuy, go with a friend or 3. Good times ;)
VR or some kind of head tracking recommended

I was enjoying showing my twelve year old niece the game in VR this afternoon with a bit of multicrew. Me on flatscreen with my explorer account and her on another account as a passenger whilst we explored out in the Black with her in VR. She wants to be a game Developer one day but had never used VR and last played a little bit of the game a few years back on a monitor (she was polite but not that interested.) This time she was wow'ed and loved it, so did I.....until I discovered I couldn't access my SRV. At all.

Is this what everyone talks about with multi-crew - a flat "no, you can't use it at all." Surely I must have screwed something up...not FDev 😉

Anyway, SRV/Multicrew frustration aside, that's what I last enjoyed. Seeing possibility, imagination and joy on a young person's face because of a game.

Now off to imbibe some salt as I'm all icky and sweet right now.

Currently doing my 3rd planetary circumnavigation and bloody lovin' it ... or at least I was until this npc Eagle decided to chase me half way round the damn planet! 😂

OK, let's do this thing!

At the end of that I'm left here.

Taking to the air once more and looking back the way I came you can still see the gap in the crater wall where I broke through to this area.

Right, here's the view ahead now.

The plan is to make my way through these canyons for a leisurely stroll across to that mountain in the distance.

It all starts swimmingly ..

But wait? What was that glint from the canyon wall back there?

Uh oh!

Buckle up folks, things are about to get bumpy!

Out exploring at the moment. Enjoying it.

Yep, same here, realising just how big the galaxy is at the same time. I’m heading for Sagittarius A on my longest exploration trip so far.

Started the trip back in late January, got to Eagle Nebula mid to late Feb for the first major pit stop. I’m now midway to my next significant POI, I’m hoping to arrive at this one around mid March.

I expect to be back in the bubble late 2020, hopefully before September...

Hopefully ELITE in exploration too, currently 55% Pioneer....

Last thing I LOVED: AXCZ with somewhere around 8 or maybe more CMDRs inside vs a Hydra. That was absolutely the best it's ever been to me. Newbs (like me) and experienced xeno-killers all trying to take down that monster. It was a blast. Wings are fun but that was just a largely on-the-fly group that stuck it out and it took a long time to knock that sucker out.

I'm out exploring and am really wishing we had the new version ice planets to enjoy by now. Meanwhile, just pressing on .....

For me the most enjoyable recent feature was "The Enclave Initiative". In fact, it was even more fun after the II had finished, and the stations in the Witch Head Sector were left damaged. This gave rise to a spontaneous collaboration between various commanders who shifted all kinds of cargo (did I mention Beryllium ?) over long distances to effect repair of Fed, Imperial and Allied stations. There were setbacks, but we didn't mind too much, we were working as a team. Rootsrat's squadron zoomed in to lend a hand, and OpIda gave us tips and support too. It really was fun, with a sense of immersive participation !

I even bought and learned to fly an unshielded Cutter for that ! :)

I still enjoy Combat and haven't run out of Ships to build. Yet.

Indeed it is. That was the first bite of the MultiLol dung sandwich I tasted after flying out to the Guardian Ruins with a friend onboard to drive SRVs together. You also can't fly your SLFs with a friend whilst your NPC Crew mans the helm.
