YOUR name in Elite! Tourist Beacon competition

I found a great system a little ways (but not impossibly far) from the bubble that I think would be a great spot for a beacon.

Qieduia DT-O d7-13
~4,000 LY from the Bubble

Here's the pitch:

Do you want a weekend away that's far enough from the Bubble you can forget the politics and power plays of home but close enough you won't trade a week in transit for a weekend on world? Are you a discerning connoisseur of discovery who likes to see new places but loves to be the first one there? Are you a traveler who appreciates value--not only the value of getting the most journey for your Credits but also the value of having lots of new places to choose from? Then Qieduia DT-O D7-13 is your destination.

Home to not one but two earth-like worlds, this hidden gem has millions of miles of untouched beaches, pristine forests and sweeping mountain ranges that have never been enjoyed by another person. All this and more, just waiting for you to discover it. Maybe you prefer to see life under water; both Planet 6 and Planet 8 have never-before-seen oceans and lakes waiting for you to dive in. If you just want to forget the land entirely, Planet 7 (a binary planet to 6) is a water world where you can dive to your heart's content. When you've had your fill taking in the sights on the surface, you can come right back up to your plush Saud Kruger lounge in space and settle in with your favorite stellar cocktail or something more reminiscent of the ancient days in Sol such as the quaint concoction known as a "piña colada." The light of the Class A star at the heart of the system gives each of these worlds an intoxicating pale glow, perfect to go along with whatever strong drink or fine food you're enjoying aboard the ship. Just when you think the day couldn't get any better, you look out the window to see the Heart and Soul nebulae reminding you that no matter where you look in Qieduia DT-O D7-13, beauty abounds. There's only one place like it in the galaxy. Astrogator Tours can take you there. See you soon.

On the outskirts of the Omega Nebula, 5'500 Ly from Sol lies GRIA DRYE MR-C D149 with its fifth planet, an earth-like world.
Its special position allows for a magnificent view on the nearby nebula, as well as a cluster of young, blue stars.
Found during the ressource collection phase during the beginning of the Distant Worlds 2 Expedition, it marked a pit stop during a personal carrier flight in 3306, where it was revisited and cartographed.

With stunning views of the GREAE PHOEA AA-A H41 nebula, this system not only contains an Earth-like world, but also 2 Water-worlds, one of which is ringed and has 3 landable moons with life. On top of that, the ringed Water-world is of a rare kind - without an atmosphere. Its rings can be mined for Platinum and other metals.
There are many more moons with life in this system as well.
If that's not enough, the entire nebula is full of lovely systems to explore, there are at least 31 more Earth-like worlds in the vicinity (<150Ly), and over 200 (two hundred!) water world systems to explore.
And if you get tired of exploring all these systems and worlds, there's a handy DSSA carrier just around the corner (in Greae Phoea XF-D d13-507) just waiting to cater to all your needs!

Greetings Commanders,

Explorers venture into the depths of space and discover beautiful systems that most will never see. We would like to offer you the opportunity to share your best discoveries and be immortalised in Elite Dangerous.

Our plan is to place approximately 50 additional Tourist Beacons throughout the Milky Way. Therefore, we’re running this competition in-line with this week’s exploration-based Community Goal.

To enter, reply to this post with an in-system (not System Map) screenshot of the most interesting unpopulated systems containing an Earth-like world you can find! When the Community Goal ends on 30 September, we’ll choose our favourites and add Tourist Beacons to those locations. Each beacon will feature the entrant’s Commander name in its text!

To qualify, submissions must:
  • Feature a screenshot of an unpopulated system in Elite Dangerous which contains an Earth-like world
  • Include your in-game Commander name
  • Include the name of the screenshotted system
Note: Only one submission will be accepted per player. If you submit multiple screenshots, the last one will be considered your only valid entry. Entries after 14:00 BST on 30 September will not be counted. We reserve the right not to include any Commander names in Tourist Beacon text that we deem inappropriate.

While the system must contain an Earth-like world, it doesn’t have to be the focus of the image. Try to show off as many features as you can which make the system interesting and a strong potential tourist destination!

All winning entries will receive 5,000 ARX in addition to the Tourist Beacon, so get exploring!

Good luck

Cmdr name: A J Wallis
System: Oochorsch ZL-T d4-5

A 10 is delightful ringed earth-like world just inside the Outer Orion Spur close to the Sanguinous Rim, illuminated by a pair of A class stars. It boasts a near-earth gravity and is a temperate 289k. At just under 7,000 light years from the bubble, it is far enough to be exotic but close enough to be reached with relative ease. It is also close to a beautiful gas giant that provides core mining opportunities for those so inclined, and was first discovered in late July 3307 by one A J Wallis. It is also said that if you look closely, you can see faces in the clouds...

In-game CMDR name: Jbshadow
System: WEPAI CC-B D1-723

System Information: Boasting a massive 103 astronomical bodies over four stars, a large Earthlike world and 10 exo-biological signals on three planets, this quaternary system is one of many to be explored and charted by the Azura Initiative. In early 3307 the Fleet Carrier: Star of Azura was commissioned as a single-ship economy by CMDR Jbshadow of The Stellar Cartographer's Guild to sell minerals to wayfarers traveling through the core regions. From these humble beginnings other fleet carriers joined to make a 'Bubble' in the core a reality. By late 3307, lead by a Director and Council of Advisors, over 30 starship commanders and their families called themselves citizens of the Azura Intitiative with members and guests growing every day. Explorers, miners, scientists, tourists and settlers inhabit an approximately 150 LY radius around what is considered the Capital in ATHAIP WR-H D11-8524 with 6 carriers situated in various Class A star systems to form a sphere. Independent, all passers-through are welcome and encouraged to partake in the mineral economy, refuel tritium at fair market prices, launch expeditions, explore and colonise.

Cmdr - ADAMtheWELSHMANz

System - PLOXE XJ-P D6-21

Planet - A3F

Located around 60,000ly away from the bubble this gorgeous Earth-like world boasts some of the most vibrant rings this Cmdr has come across in over 2 million light years worth of travel.

Situated shortly before Beagle Point this system is well worth a very slight detour for this planet alone. Ploxey, as this Cmdr affectionately recalls this system, also boasts a beautiful ringed HMC as well as many landable planets which are a pleasure to explore under the soft blue light of the systems main A type star.

It is this young, very hot star, that has allowed this small rock to be capable of sustaining water-based life despite been over 2,800ls away from it, far outside of the normal goldilocks zone where one would expect to find such a lush and verdant oasis.

Thank you for taking the time to consider my application for a tourist beacon. o7

Located in the beautiful Elysium Shore, this gem has an orbiting moon and 1.05G gravity; it's so similar to Sol, you won't be Sol-sick! This Earth-like world has amazing views of the Bubble Nebula, one of the most amazing backdrops in the galaxy! It almost appears that the Bubble Nebula is perpetually gazing at this amazing planet!

Here's my submission:

CMDR Orvidius
Nyeajoa OT-R d4-4

A relatively unusual system, in that it contains a ringed ELW orbiting a lone neutron star. Usually when you find Earth-like worlds in neutron systems, they're orbiting a secondary star. However in this case, the neutron star is the only star present. I'm not sure how the life on this planet deals with DNA-shredding X-rays, but apparently they manage somehow. Maybe they have a really good atmosphere, or are mostly subterranean. ;)

The ELW and its rings are visible from a landable nearby moon of a gas giant, with everything well illuminated by the glow of the neutron star.

Note: Both the Earth-Like Worlds that orbit each other are very close in size ( radius ) and mass and gravity to Earth !!

Also, 2 additional planets in system are candidates for terraforming - so there is the possibility for more Earth-Like worlds with terraforming.
The terraforming candidates are also similar to Earth in size, mass, and gravity ! -- With terraforming, the system could have 4 very near Earth clones !!

System: Stock 1 Sector LH-V d2-43

Earth-like world, with it's own little moon, lit by the neutron star it orbits. I wonder if all potential life on it might have been fried by radiation.
Nearby is a water world and high metal content world. Two rocky M class star systems also orbit the sequence star.
