Your Pets

Wow Type R of this Breed is amazing. But seems to be currently extinct in Europe

The true Goldfish🤭

Those are also cool. Like little Ghost Fish

Found another Animal that would be nice to have in the Pond. The European Freshwater Shrimp (Atyaephyra desmarestii). Is not only cool but also eats Stuff like Algae and Leaves that fall into the Pond. If it shouldn't turn out that they also eat Fish Eggs, it should definitely work. Need to be careful though when they produce Offspring because they produce up to 1000 Larvae. The Fish would definitely enjoy it but I might need to also manually remove some of them.
It would also be nice to have some Animal that takes Care of the Waste of the Shrimps but isn't eaten by the Fish. Maybe some Species of Clam?

Snails i guess

🤔 Snails would fill that Niche? Already thought about Snails too but wasn't sure if it would be a either Snail or Shrimp Situation because I thought maybe they might compete for Food too much
Well i guess, eating waste and algae is kinda what snails do right? But if you have a filter on there the waste of a couple fish and shrimp shouldnt be a issue :D

Turns out that at least some Shrimps eat Fish Eggs. Didn't find anything specifically about this Species though, so maybe it isn't a good Pondmate for them unless it should turn out that the Eggs are safe from that Species. Definitely want Offspring if the Medaka should breed

I think even if they eat fish eggs they would be able to eat them all. I dont know how many eggs they lay but if they all hatch you might soon be over run with minnows :D.
So the shrimp eating some of them might actually be a good thing

Medaka. As mentioned that one Website and a few other claim that Minnows and all the other Fish I've considered before, need 1000l or more, even though I don't really believe that. But Medaka are pretty cool Fish with lots of Variations, so I'm Happy with that.

And I guess they would have no Problems eating all of the Fish Eggs. I've read about People that mentioned that they never had any Offspring in their Aquarium until they've removed the Shrimps.

Found Out something nice though. Painter's Mussels seem to filter the Water enough for a Mini Pond, so If that's true, no Technology should be needed and If I pair them with Snails, the Mussels could filter all the Waste from the Water, while the Snails clean the Ground and the Walls (If the Mussels leave anything for them😅 If not, the Snails should also eat additional Fish Food that sinks to the Ground and if that wouldn't help, I would definitely need to hope that the Plants would be enough. Definitely need to research it to know if that would work)
Edit: it was mentioned that the Swan Mussel can be kept together with Snails and that one is way bigger, so it should work to keep both😊👍

And their first clutch of eggs should hatch any day now
Well just checked my incubator to find out this little bean has hatched 😍.

😑 I think the Bird Hormones might be going crazy again. Can't wait to finally be able to order Food online. The Store bought Stuff isn't really suitable for Cage Birds. Way too much fatty Stuff like Sunflower Seeds🙄
Not sure though at the Moment. Just need to wait a few Days to find out if my female is screaming due to being hormonal or not. At least not as often as last Time. Definitely like it better when both of them are hormonal at the same Time. My male was only hormonal once (I think) since I got them. I wonder if it has anything to do with the Age

I want birds but I'm not allowed to keep them where I currently live. Maybe one day...
😔 a Shame that you can't do it.
No Birds in general or was something specific mentioned?
Maybe it's just because of chewing on Stuff? In that Case Birds that aren't Parrots would be ok. Like Finches or Pigeons. Should also be way more quiet

No birds in general. Though it is allowed to put out feeders, so that's what I've done with the wild birds. I think I need to clean it out though. It's started to mold.

😔 sad. I assume Diamond Doves for Example wouldn't be really causing any Problems but if it is like that, it's really a Shame.
At least great that you can at least have a Feeder outside.
😕 there are also some Pets I would absolutely love to keep, but in my Case it's more a Problem regarding available Space
