Visited (and became a member) of the Riverbanks Zoo in Columbia, SC. Here were a few pics I captured.

Wow, those are professional, amazing details!

Two weeks ago I've visited one of my hometown zoos the first time this year - the Tierpark Berlin.
I enjoyed it a lot like every time.

Here's a veeery small selection of pictures.

Finally I was able to see the Francois' langurs which joined the park last year. The whole last year I was unlucky but this time I was finally lucky!

The Sichuan takins also had a cute baby! I generally love takins and Berlin Tierpark has all three subspecies which makes it even better :D Really hope we'll get one in PZ.

One of my favourite animals is the gerenuk which is very rare in Europe and can only be seen in both zoos of Berlin at the moment.

Another real gem in this park is the pair of Sulawesi bear cuscus. They also have a baby at the moment (already born last autumn), unfortunately it was hidden behind the mother in the basket.

Went to Tierpark Berlin the last weekend again. Main reason was to take a look at the brand-new African Savannah area which just opened to the public last week Friday.
Anyways, I was even more lucky this time and was able to see the bear cuscus joey:love:

And look how amazing the new savannah area looks! It's so large, it's not possible to view and photograph everything at once.

Visited Ostrava Zoo and Botanical garden over the weekend, it is probably one of my favourite zoos. Very narural, yet stylized into modern building style, with lots of wood, stone and glass materials used (exactly the style I usually build in PZ).

I apologize that some of the pictures are smaller, but sometimes it wont let me upload the high quality because of size.

Near the entrance, there is a huge collection of bonsai trees, some of them planted more than 100 years ago!

Wonderful new enclosure for Gibbons and some kind of asian deer, forgot what they were.

Mixed enclosure for Asian Small Claw Otters and Binturongs. They are both in this photo, try to find them. :p

African Spurred Tortoises. They were actually fighting soon after I took this photo, too bad I cannot post a video. They were surprisingly fast.

Now for the good stuff - Crested Porcupine and Banded Mongoose mixed enclosure, of course the Porcupines were nowhere to be found, just my luck. 😂

This might be the best place to ask without starting a new thread: Does anyone have any real-world examples of fossa zoo habitats they can share?

Unfortunately, nothing new. The Houston Zoo does have one, ironically in the small cats section, but it's very small and likely doesn't fit modern day habitats

Parco Natura Viva in Verona has pretty nice habitat for Fossas. I don't sadly have any pics of habitat itself and neither does internet.

But it's pretty nice open habitat, and decked out in climbing enrichment

Singapore Zoo has one of the better-looking fossa enclosures:

Chester Zoo's Madagascar Forest complex also has a fossa enclosure - some pictures are on this page:

Thanks, both of you, very handy! I was trying to get a sense of realistic scale since I've never seen a fossa habitat in real life and I want to include them in my zoo. Much appreciated! My "draft" attempt was way too big!
