Rotate camera angle with mouse?

Can you rotate the camera angel around an object with the mouse? I know how to on the keyboard but I cannot seem to get anything to do it with the mouse.

Hold in the mouse wheel/middle button and move around that way.

It just doesn't seem to work. Maybe it's my mouse if there's no setting to active/deactivate it.

Also - there is a setting to make the mouse move the screen freely just by moving it to the edge of the screen as opposed to having to hold the button down to get the screen to pan?

Try holding down both LMB and RMB.
In the settings menu, camera tab, there's a checkbox for enabling edge scrolling.

Also in the Settings menu in the game, check out the Controls tab for the new key mappings.

I can just about, but it keeps trying to centre itself back to the original view. It's as if you're battling with it to try to look around when you are trying to ride a ride...
