I finally got the paint wear I've been looking for on a ship... that's probably going to get blown up tomorrow.

I was going to post once I realized where I was going, but got ninjad...

If you've never seen it, then have a look at your ship before you repaint or lose it.

Independent pilots report that the notorious hacker and anti Xmas activist Grin Che has exploited a known weakness in the onboard Codex database system, preventing the ship OS from storing backups of messages relayed by Sandra Corrs.
Pilots are advised to not delete their original inbox copies at the peril of losing vital delivery information.

My joystick decided to go haywire yesterday, deleting two of the inbox messages from the listening post. Scanning a second time isn't possible and the messages aren't saved anywhere else, effectively preventing me from solving the puzzles by myself. Minor annoyance in the grand scheme of things but it highlights again that the Codex is in dire need of some TLC.

Maybe it's a stupid idea, but these text messages could be saved in your cmdr log file ?

Maybe it would have been a bit much in terms of value, but I agree it would have been worth it just for the meme value!

The beacon isn't close to Frost Station, it is closer to one of the other outposts. Look in your contacts panel for Sandra's Mailbox.

Do take care though. There I was, just a few days into my shiny new 'Live' experience with my transferred-from-console cmdr, and one of my first experiences is getting blown up whilst scanning the beacon. It's just not on, it wouldn't happen in legacy mode.:ROFLMAO:

Yeah just figured this out. I filtered only stations and the beacon is a signal/POI...

I might have some sad news for Sandra this Xmess. I mean, where exactly are Dolph’s Routes operating? There is absolutely nobody other than myself and these Thargoids at 63 Tauri.

I am heading back to the bubble now. about 7kly out......... unfortunately I didn't take a field maintanence unit and my FSD keeps cutting out which is making it take longer than it should.

I think it was a very missed opportunity by Fdev to give us a 2nd bobblehead, of an anaconda... That would have been priceless. But I agree that was a good call, I have been playing for over 2 years and had no previously visited there and probably would not have otherwise, so well done.

I've been watching for a space out at Hutton since the event started. If any of the carriers there have moved I haven't seen it.
Without active carrier movement we're stuck with the slog.
