Summary
System: LHS 1163
Station: Glorious Prospect (Megaship, large pads available, 1,021 Ls from main star, 46.25 Ly from Sol)
Objective: Hand in Bounty Vouchers for Azimuth Biotech
Time limit: 26th January 3309 @ 06:00 UTC

Description
Azimuth Biotech has requested deliveries to LHS 1163 to manufacture a module that increases AX weapons capacity.
A press release from the corporation’s PR division stated:
Azimuth’s dedication to defeating the Thargoids, which stretches back more than a century, has reached a new milestone with the development of our experimental weapon stabiliser.

This proprietary invention redistributes the physical stresses that AX weapons place upon a ship’s infrastructure. The class 3 and class 5 variants allow ships to be outfitted with one or two additional AX weapons respectively.
Azimuth Biotech is also overseeing a bounty hunting initiative in LHS 1163 to protect trade ships bringing shipments of goods to the Glorious Prospect. Bounty vouchers can be handed in at the megaship for additional credit rewards based on contribution levels.
The campaign begins on the 19th January 3309 and will run for one week. If the final target is met earlier than planned, the campaign will end immediately.
To earn rewards you must sign up as an active participant before handing in Bounty Vouchers at Glorious Prospect in the LHS 1163 system. Only Bounty Vouchers handed in after signing up will count toward your personal contribution total.
Please note that if you have any crew members, a proportion of your bounty vouchers will be automatically assigned to them. These bounty vouchers will not count towards your personal contribution total, and your crew will receive the reward for these bounty vouchers when they are handed in. The proportion of bounty vouchers assigned to your crew will depend on their rank.
Be aware that faction-state changes and other disruptive events can negatively impact markets and station services, and could prevent the initiative from running smoothly.
Notes:
  • Glorious Prospect is orbiting planet A 1
  • Megaship services: Commodities Market, Outfitting, Repair, Restock, Refuel, Interstellar Factors, Social Space
  • Nearest Interstellar Factors (at stations with "reasonable" super cruise distances, others locations are available closer):
    • Rondon Prospect & Marguiles Freeport in LFT 1 (Outposts, S/M pads only, 9.74Ly, 1,351 & 1,043 Ls)
    • Rorschach Hub in LHS 4058 (Coriolis Starport, S/M/L pads, 10.52 Ly, 4,104 Ls)
    • MacKellar Horizons in Dalia (Coriolis Starport, S/M/L pads, 20.41 Ly, 1,575 Ls)

I thought to give INTRA a nudge to report Arena systems owned by Azimuth Biotech, though the result was much more modest than I imagined:

Looks like just two good systems beyond LHS 1163 itself with easily-accessible Hazardous RESs, with Mbooni requiring the permit of course. If one does not have that by now, a spot of hunting surely will confer the needed reputation quite quickly.

Note that anyone pledged to Zachary Hudson with rating 5 will be awarded double in LHS 1163, the very system in which the bounty vouchers need to be claimed.

For extra income via massacre missions, note also that:
  • You will not be able to get missions targeting T Tauri, for it has no Shop systems within 10 Ly.
  • You will not be able to get missions targeting Mbooni, for it has no anarchy faction.
  • Shangdi and LFT 1 each have many factions which can give you missions for LHS 1163, though not exclusively, and only from Outposts.
  • LHS 1197 can give you missions for LHS 1163 from a Starport, however four of its otherwise-viable factions are at war, leaving only two at this time.

Does anyone know if Pilot Federation combat bounds count toward this CG or are the bonds specific to this CG? I handed in a bunch and received no credit toward the CG goal.

Game spawns a pirate that is worth 1M in bounties each time I haul with my Cutter (and they count for the CG), so I obviously blow him up for extra profits. I can commit to two CGs at once!

Is there a high RES in LHS 1163 ?

Unfortunately, there are no High RES locations for Azimuth Biotech at all. It looks like we have LHS 1163 listed now, so all RESs for Azimuth Biotech with reference distances from LHS 1163 look like this:

AzimuthBiotech2.jpg

The RES order shown is Hazardous, High, Medium, Low—so there are no High RESs, and Mbooni has no Low RES. Obviously T Tauri is very far away, so my suggestion is to hunt at the Hazardous RES in Mbooni if you have the permit, or use the Medium RES in LHS 1163 temporarily until your bounty claims at Glorious Prospect afford you the permit.

bounty vouchers

and for those not able to find targets

byop works

take mining missions , trigger them and bring your own pirates

Interesting question: If the deliveries CG is complete and no more deliveries need to be made, then what deliveries are we "protecting"? 🤔

We're not going to make Tier 4, are we? Unless some people have like thirty billion in vouchers waiting to cash in. Is that a thing that's happened before in CGs? This is my first rodeo. I'm top 10% at just over 100M in bounties. I hope I don't get knocked off by a bunch of bounty hoarders!

Ha ha that's a good one!

Yeah, that's fairly common, especially where there aren't any interesting goodies as rewards. As long as the CG reaches Tier 1 it's classed as successful.

...
You are probably fairly safe that far into the top 10% my hoarded bounties were just not quite enough to escape the top 25%.

I made top 10% but the reward is pitiful anyway. Seems crazy that the goal that favours people who can hoard resources beforehand in fleet carriers has the best rewards, but the goal that demands time devoted to the task has the crappy reward. But I guess the item reward is just the equivalent of cash, isn't it?

Never mind, I earned a stupid amount of engineering materials whilst doing this. I really didn't fancy just doing shipping runs.
