Update 14.02 Now Live!

During the Sync files step I get two times the same error message: Unhandled Exception; data error (CRC check)
When I click on the OK button of one of the error messages all error messages and the launcher will get closed.

In the launcher I already tried it with enabled and disabled cache check - same outcome. Who has an advice what I can do?

Yeah. Can confirm that killing any interceptor and not being the one to get the final hit.. means you don't get credit for your missions... so missions are basically impossible in MP right now.... :(

Really hoping this isn't intentional.... and it's fixed soon. I'm going to lose out on a bunch of missions entirely because I can't get my credit despite killing 4 hydras so far... lol

This isn't new
Grazing an interceptor will get you credits when it's killed, getting the killing blow means you get the mission credits too.
IIRC if you wing up, you get credit if someone in your wing gets the killing blow

Had that happened to me, beating the Basilisk down to no hearts, left it flying away with shields, and a NPC T10 just steals my kill, no bonds.
There's probably a timer on when you last damaged the target, if left for too long, you don't get the bonds even if you did 99% of the work.

This is... normal? Are you certain? If it's normal it's a horrid way to go about it. Really gimps the whole mission aspect of this entire thing honestly. lol
 
Sally, just an FYI for you, I am updating post #68 as I check each Barnacle Forest site, the last two Barnacle Forests are a lot further out so have to fly there, no dev mode to check them.

 
While the surface AXCZs seem to be working and spawning hydras at the end I think there's still some problems that are hard to pin down because it's not exactly clear how the waves are supposed to work.

In the one surface port AXCZ I've done after the patch it only spawned one wave of interceptors and then it was just killing scouts until the hydras came at which point a few more non-hydra interceptors eventually spawned over the course of fighting the hydras.

It may have been that the scouts were killed really fast/almost spawn killed, but it's hard to give good feedback on what's broken when it's unclear on how the AXCZs are supposed to flow.

After the first scout wave in AXCZs:
Are interceptors supposed to spawn until there's 2-3 in the instance?
Are they supposed to periodically spawn if there's less than 2-3 in the instance?
Are they supposed to spawn every X scout kills?

After the second scout/interceptor wave:
Are regular interceptors supposed to keep spawning according to the rules from the previous phase during the hydra fights (they sometimes seem to)

Also at the end the hydra health progress indicators (top right ship info panel) stopped working and that seems like something caused by the hydras going out of range of the host player (about 30-50km from the station) or something else causing a desync eventually.

Come to think of it the "only spawning scouts" bug might be something similar too where the hosts game for some reason thinks it's stuck on phase 1 and should only spawn scouts.

Overall the combat zone scripts don't seem very robust to players leaving/joining mid fight - I think this was the case for the human space CZs and installation missions too where it always felt safer to wait for everyone in a group to join the instance before the fight is triggered. The network logs don't have enough detail on the script stuff either I think to confirm or deny anything?

Unfortunatley the Thargoid War content actively encourages it with longer CZs and players running trade missions to ports where the AXCZs take place.

Not quite so.
The payout may be fine if you solo interceptors, but if you go faffing around in an AX CZ....

For example Sunday i got more than 350 millions for faffing around in an AX CZ along many other commanders.
Sure i nailed some scouts, i helped on quite a number of interceptors, got killing credits on a number interceptors (1 cyclops, 3 basilisk, 1 medusa) - but still, those 350 millions felt really effortless

Malic I appreciate the extent you’re going to here but what you’ve done is more than plenty, in all honesty.

Any further examples won’t be needed. QA will take it further from here.
 
I'm seeing auto-launch related issues.
From stations - type-10, usually flawless.
Drifts down and right of the docking slot, then slowly driving into the wall.
Tested after a relog. Will try again with some other ships.

Weren't appearing in the same ship pre-patch

Does not appear to affect auto-dock

However - can confirm that in-system carrier jumps are now back online!

maybe try another system/ station? I had the same problem, but saw other cmdrs on Twitch getting the restore missions. It could be server tick related
 
Having slight issue with carrier administration after finally deciding to get one.

I am in a system with carrier administration (where it got put after purchasing), the option to install optional modules is available but clicking the buy button on the modules does nothing. Tried relog still the same.

Not sure if this just a glitch from todays patch and backend is overloaded or if somethings has broken. Guess will give it 24 hrs see if it starts working.

Also noticed as the owner I don't get the option to refuel/repair or rearm on it, from what I read these should be available to the owner without having the modules installed.

I guess it makes sense given the new weapons and modules and all. It’s just a lame move to have done such a drastic change without a single mention.
This honestly makes no sense at all. The point of the new weapons was to be be better than human but not as good as guardian. So the new gear is all still inferior to the stuff that you need to really take on the basi, dusa, and hydra solo. You will still need to learn the fights and the skills needed for them and quite likely wind up getting the guardian gear to be able to reliably take them down. They are also still long fights even with guardian gear so outside of group killing at AXCZs the payout decrease is only hurting AX combat.

Surely this was an unintentional mistake in the patch. Those sorts of things happen from time to time. I wager Sally will have word back about it in the morning. Even if it was intentional, hopefully the outcry at the unnecessary nerf would implore them to flip it back. It took us years to get it pushed up to where it was from the original payouts. We don't need to go backwards.

And then Odyssey came along and made combat bonds persistent after death, leading to people carrying around tens of billions and using self destruct just because they're too lazy to fly back to a station. Imagine the outcry if they fixed that...
 
The launcher's telling me that I don't own a copy of the game now, which is super cool. I can see the ARX I've purchased in the past but my account certainly says I don't the game, which is hogwash since I can look at my purchase receipt on Steam.
